I have always had a passion for academics. I excelled in school and am currently a third year university student at the University of Pretoria. I believe that everyone can perform well in academics & that no goal is too difficult to reach. Hard work and a positive attitude is the recipe to success. Academics does not have to be difficult, it can be fun too. I look forward to ensuring that this experience is a pleasurable and memorative one to all students, that will provide them with the necessary tools to continue leading a successful academic career.

Pet sitting is probably the most exciting part-time job I have ever had. I absolutely love animals! This job required me to meet a lot of new families and take care of their homes and pets while they were on holiday. Every day I had to check the portal to make sure there were no new opportunities, and if there were I had to apply to the job and wait to see if I was chosen for the specific family. In the case that I was selected for a job, on weekends (mostly) I stayed at the families' homes and took care of their pets until they returned.
The job entailed a lot of administration work. I had to archive fails by adding labels, summarizing the content and sorting them in an appropriate manner so that they could easily be found again for reference.
I am still studying towards my degree; however, my plan is to finish next year and continue to a postgraduate degree. I major in Human Physiology, Genetics & Psychology which means that I have a lot of science and biology background and knowledge.
I am currently studying towards a science degree so I have had a lot of experience with all things mathematics and science related to quite some extent. I have had three different mathematics modules during my university years alone and I also had mathematics until matric. When I was still at school I also had a mathematics tutor which helped me a lot, and I would like to help other students in the same way too.

My home language is Afrikaans so it comes naturally. I also got a distinction for Afrikaans in matric and have always loved the language. Everyone can learn to speak, write or read Afrikaans with enough practice. It is actually quite simple.

Chemistry is one of my all time favorite subjects! At varsity level I also have several biochemistry modules which I absolutely love. I find that chemistry can be simplified and explained in such a manner that everyone can understand it, no matter what their background knowledge is in this field of science.

In matric I fell in love with biology and to this day I still have two biology modules per semester at varsity level. I have a lot of interest in the field and I will gladly pass on my knowledge and experience to younger students, so that they too, may one day fall in love with this spectacular field.

As my degree is in the science field I have had to do a lot of extra physical sciences subjects even after school. During my first and second year at varsity I had three physical science modules and passed all with flying colors. In matric I absolutely loved physical sciences and my final mark was also very good.

I have always loved languages and find that it is actually so simple once one just follows all the rules and catches on to the tricky things. It takes times to master languages (as do all subjects), but it can certainly be done. I also got a distinction for English in matric and have some experience with academic writing on varsity level.
