My name is Taswell Solomons. I am 29 years old, residing in Cape Town, Western Cape. I completed my NSC (Grade 12) at Star International High School in 2008. Since then I've completed a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Public Administration at UCT in 2011, a Postgrad Diploma in Public Administration and Policy at UNISA in 2013, a Postgrad Diploma in Management in Information Systems at UCT in 2016, and will be starting a Bachelors of Law degree at UNISA in 2021. I have worked in various employment sectors throughout the years and have also continued to tutor mostly high school children in multiple subjects, specifically Mathematics. I enjoy tutoring both primary and high school learners and have been exposed to and dealt with an array of different student types throughout my tutoring career. With the exposure I have gained, I've been able to expand on key characteristics such as patience, empathy, understanding and care which enables me to be a great tutor. I believe tutoring should be tailored to the specific student and I have become adept in identifying the best means for a student to achieve a deep understanding of the work/subject at hand. I would also consider myself to be quite relatable and I would always ensure that the student is comfortable and confident to participate in lessons and to work towards any goals that are set.
