Hi! My name is Gabriela but you can call me Gabi! I am, as of this year, a second-year Chemical Engineering student. I was really good with mathematics and physical science in high school and I believe my degree has helped further develop this knowledge. I also studied art till matric so I don't only have numbers on the brain; I'm creative and open-minded. I have never been a naturally gifted individual when it has come to learning and studying; I have performed well due to my ability to work hard. Therefore, I know how it feels to struggle with concepts and battle my way through specific sections to succeed and master them. I'm super patient and will always do my best to help you get to where you need to be!

I obtained a very good work ethic at Redhill which allowed me to obtain wonderful results at the end of matric. I am grateful for the education that was provided to me there.
I obtained a distinction in matric for mathematics. I have gone on to study chemical engineering and received a distinction for my calculus module in my first semester and passed my mathematics module in my second semester, being very close to obtaining a distinction. I perform well in and enjoy most subjects that require problem solving.

Afrikaans is not my home language, however this does imply that I worked hard and learned how to preform well in Afrikaans to obtain my distinction in matric as my first additional language. I went from getting 50's in Afrikaans in primary school to getting distinctions in matric. I know how it feels to think learning Afrikaans is impossible but it really isn't once you learn how to put the work in.

I really enjoy chemistry (if I didn't, I think I'd really be hating my degree). I obtained a distinction for Physical Science in matric. Many of my current modules in university are linked to chemistry. However, focusing more specifically on my chemistry modules taken in 2020, I passed both modules, one being with a distinction and the other being close to a distinction. I have a good understanding of chemistry related concepts. I also understand Physical Science is not an easy subject to grasp a lot of the time and I will do my best to help you and show you lots of patience.

I obtained a distinction for Physical Science in matric and I have studied and passed both my Physics and Mechanics modules with good results in my first year of chemical engineering. On top of performing well, I do enjoy subjects involving problem solving and believe my skills can be useful in explaining Physics concepts. I also understand Physical Science is not an easy subject to grasp a lot of the time and I will do my best to help you and show you lots of patience.

I took Visual Art until the end of high school and obtained a distinction. I believe I had what it took to apply for a Fine Arts degree but chose the engineering route instead. I still have a love for art, practice it in my spare time and loved learning about art history.
