I studied Accounting, Afrikaans, Business Studies, English, History and Pure Mathematics in high school but I am able to help with other subjects up to a grade 9 level too. I am a retired educator/HR Practitioner who had taught English, Afrikaans History and Mathematics for 26+ years to different grades, specifically from Grade 7 to Grade 12 (the previous Standards 5 to 10). I later entered the corporate world in the field of human resources, and I was in this profession as HR Manager for over 17 years. Furthermore, I was a part-time lecturer in Copywriting at the Open Window University of Arts (Centurion) for five months in 2013, and I am currently still free-lancing in the field of skills development as Skills Development Facilitator, Assessor and writer of outcomes-based training manuals. In terms of formal qualifications, I possess a 4-Year Diploma in Education, a B.A. degree in the humanities (with majors History and Afrikaans-Nederlands via the University of the Free State), a Certificate in Advanced Labour Relations (via the University of Pretoria), a Certificate in Hiring and Recruitment Practices (Unisa), a Certificate in Basic Bookkeeping (Damelin) and various skills development courses. I'm currently employed as an Accounts Supervisor for a cost consulting entity. I am also still validly registered as an educator with the South African Council of Educators (SACE). I have always been an educator at heart, and now, in my retirement, I still have the desire to transfer knowledge, skills and expertise to a younger generation.

Studied Bachelor of Earth Sciences in Mining and Environmental Geology. Major subjects were Geophysics, Geotechnical engineering, geochemistry, Environmental Geology. I have helped students with insufficient basic concepts understanding of mathematics to achieve adequate level of understanding by focusing on the individual's needs. This was all through by being part of TeachSA organization as an Ambassador for mathematics. My approach to teaching leaves my student calling anything that has to do with calculations as "a work in a park". Hello there! My name is Shereen Younis. I have recently graduated in a Bachelor of Laws with distinction from the University of Pretoria. As a new graduate, I am interested in broadening my horizons and expanding on my experiences before beginning work as a potential lawyer. I decided that the best way to do this would be to embark on the adventure of tutoring. The reason why I chose this path is that I have always had a passion for wanting to help others and I can do this by teaching them. I feel as though I would be suited for this job as it requires good interpersonal skills, which I have gained through past experiences such as my involvement in the United Nations Association of South Africa, Pretoria Chapter (UNASA). With UNASA we interacted with children who had no knowledge of their rights and provided them with further insight regarding their rights. We played different games and completed different exercises to teach them these rights. I can tutor young children as well as high school learners and university students (law modules). I am a very fun and bubbly person but I make sure I reach my objectives. I am easy going and understanding which I feel would make me a suitable tutor.
