Primary School tutors in Cape Town

I have been teaching Primary school children for the last 3 years. I am currently teaching grade 5 but am able to teach learners up until Grade 9. I am able to teach all subjects but thoroughly enjoy teaching Mathematics and English.

I am a qualified Foundation Phase teacher. I work with children aged 6-9 years of age. I prepare and present lessons that cater to visual, auditor or kinaesthetic learners, as per the CAPs curriculum. I enjoy making my own resources and working in person or online with young children.

I am most comfortable to help children in primary school since I have worked with primary school children both with physical and mental disabilities and those without any. I feel I have experience in that and will be able to assist where necessary.

I can assist students with primary school subjects including Afrikaans, Mathematics, English, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Economics Management Sciences (EMS). I have effective ways of making work easy to learn and understand.

I am patient, reliable, firm but funny! I get the job done and build a relationship making learning enjoyable!! I have a passion for learning and development and enjoy meeting each individual need. I hope to inspire a love for learning and use my expertise to develop lifelong skills in each young child.

I am currently in my final year of my B.Ed intermediate phase teaching degree and I promote students achievement and progress. I plan, structure and organize my lessons and I focus on the student. I love teaching and I never give anyone doubts about why I went into teaching.

I have 4 years experience tutoring and managing after-school projects in various areas around Cape Town and drew up curriculum booklets for SHAWCO Education at UCT aligned with the CAPS curriculum in Numeracy, literacy, sports and more from grade 1 to grade 10s.

I have experience teaching primary school children. I am very patient, flexible and empathetic but I can be firm when I need to be. I like to provide structure to learning and especially to try and make learning as fun as possible and to instil a love for learning in my students that they can carry with them throughout their life! I can tutor any primary school subjects with confidence.

Being a Foundation Phase teacher in for the past 9 years I am best equipped to tutor a student in this phase and offer assistance in a variety of subjects in an engaging and creative way, tailored to the students unique learning style.

I have spent the past 6 months tutoring Grade 7 and above in the general subjects. I am well suited to this type of subjects as my teaching style seems to bring out the best in my students. The material is all based on application and incorporation into our own understanding. From previous experience, this works best!
