Hardworking, motivated, goal-oriented registered counsellor looking to make a difference through tutoring and modeling positive characteristics. Looking for a tutoring job since I lost my job due to the effects of covid-19. I am young, energetic and absolutely love the countryside and farmlife. It gives me a family feeling I get nowhere else. Family and friends are very important to me. Children and those less fortunate are very close to my heart. I especially like to work with children between the ages of 4 and 10. Their innocence and sometimes cheeky way of being draws me in. On the other hand my peaceful and loving nature draws children to me. Volunteering, cooking, baking and drawing pencil sketches are some of my hobbies. I also very firmly believe that nobody is too good or too bad to make a difference.

Student Facilitator
Here I was a facilitator for one of the grade 9 students at the Paarl School in Brackenfell. The child was physically disabled and was using a wheelchair. I had to go with the child everywhere he went and helped him where necessary with physical things as well as with school work in class.

Vocabulary
My vocabulary in English as well as Afrikaans are great since I was in an Afrikaans school and after school studied in English. I also did counselling in both English and Afrikaans. I have also done a lot of writing such as a thesis and other tasks where vocabulary are very important.

Writing
I have knowledge of how children of primary school should be able to write since I worked at Dots Learning Centre in Durbanville for a while. I am also very patient, therefore if the child struggles or takes his/her time I will have the patience to wait and help him or her when necessary even if it takes a lot of time.

Literature
I am able to guide on the side and assists the student with close reading of the text. I am also able to guide and engage the student in discussion regarding the text. I received great marks at school with literature and are excellent with analyzing reading material. During holidays I also love to read.

Special Needs Help
I have previously worked with children who are physically and mentally disabled. I am completely comfortable with working with them. In fact I enjoy it. My calm and patient nature also makes me the perfect candidate as I will remain calm if the client becomes unsure or struggles with something. I will also motivate and encourage the client to try before I give the answer to something or help them.
