I am a mature lady who relates well to people of all ages, especially children with whom I love working and in whom I build a passion and love for learning. I am patient and deal with the children in a calm manner teaching them the importance of determination and that nothing is impossible. Together we can conquer each and every subject in a way which they understand and through this they learn a good work ethic and learn self-discipline, in which I am a great believer . I am quick to encourage and praise my students when it is necessary and this helps build their confidence and motivate them to cooperate with me. I am bilingual, reliable and organised and give each child I tutor my full attention helping them to achieve their goals and to ultimately cope on their own and become successful scholars and students.

I am currently studying teaching (Foundation Phase), through UNISA. I have also done a semester long course in mathematics at the University of Stellenbosch.

Completed my Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) at UNISA in 2014. Completed my Honours in School Management through UNISA, as well as a Bachelors of Theology (B.Th) through SATS. Currently completing my Masters at UCT in Education Policy, Leadership & Change. I am concerned about socio-economic injustices and use my passion, i.e., being a patient teacher, to address these issues.

I prefer to tutor grades 4-8. I can tutor in most subjects up to grade 9, apart from Afrikaans, which I will only teach up to Grade 7. I've attended several study courses, including the Juno course. These courses have really helped me and I'd love to show my students how easy it can be to learn and memorize. With our academic oriented society, the self-esteem of students often takes a few hits. It's important to me as a teacher that my students understand that their mistakes are part of a learning process. I'm admittedly young, but I achieve excellent results as a straight A student, which I have been my whole school career, and I have experience dealing with different learning styles.

I am a friendly and intelligent 25 year old female currently studying Early Years Montessori Teaching. I am really passionate about education and am particularly interested in helping students with their Music (theory and piano practical), English, History and/or Drama studies. I am very creative with particular interest in sewing, painting, reading, drama, dance and music. I have worked in the fashion industry (as a fashion designer, blogger, stylist and visual merchandiser), broadcasting (hosting 2 radio shows over 3 years) and most recently have been working at a Montessori pre-school as an assistant teacher.

I am a qualified SACE registered teacher with English Home Language and Life Orientation subject didactics.

I am a committed, enthusiastic and creative schoolteacher with eight years of valued experience teaching grades 6, 7 and 8. I enjoy using humour and imagination in my teaching. My passion is the holistic development of each student. Through my experience in dealing with the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being of students across various cultural and economic backgrounds I feel that I am a confident and capable educator.

Matriculated with distinction in 2001, subjects English, Afrikaans, Biology, Science, Mathematics and Accounting, all High Grade. Finished first year subjects in Occupational therapy at Stellenbosch University. (2002) Including Biology and Psychology. BTh (2006) and MDiv (2008) degrees and Licenciate Diploma (2010) at Stellenbosch University. Stayed for 2 years with a family as a part time Au pair while studying. Exchange student to Sweden in 2007. Certificate in Childrens Ministry from Petra College Busy with some 1st year BEd foundation phase subjects at UNISA (2016) I love teaching children/youth

I have been the secretary, running our farming business for 28 years, my bookkeeping skills are all self taught and I am computer literate. I did relief teaching at Hopetown Hoerskool English Grade 8 to Matric. At the same time all four children had to go to boarding school and I have had to travel long distances alone and be highly organized in sorting out their lives from a distance. I have also taught Afrikaans second language to matric and am a qualified remedial teacher (UCT) I now live in Cape Town and own a four star guesthouse in Upper Claremont Cape Town. I also tutor Afrikaans and Maths in the afternoons as well as facilitating for children who struggle at Rustenburg Junior School.
