Always been good in Mathematics since from Primary. Trigonometry was one of my favorite topics in Mathematics. I enjoyed it and I am comfortable with teaching it. I did trigonometry at a Secondary and tertiary level, which enhanced my trigonometric skills and exposure.

I have been a Mathematics tutor since 2015. I have achieved a mark of 81% for Pure Mathematics when I completed my AS-Levels. I also achieved a mark of 93% and 83% for WTW 158 and WTW 164 respectively. These are two first-year Calculus modules which also included trigonometry.

It is part of the pure mathematics which I learned in highschool and passed with a distinction in,in grade 12. It also continues to varsity level in my course,in applied mathematics and calculus which gave me better,short and easier way to explain it to learners and it has been really helpful.

May background in engineering at university level has exposed me to a lot of mathematics so high school algebra is a walk in the park. I have taught the subject at my old high school and greatly improved the pass rate

I make sure the person I'm helping understands the basics then I take everything from there 1 step at a time. I'm very patient as Maths sometimes takes sometime for other people to understand. I'm very polite and approachable.

I'm studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Pretoria. I'm currently in my 3rd year thus I completed 6 pure mathematic modules that includes: Calculus 158 (WTW 158) Mathematics 164 (WTW 164) Mathematics 238 (WTW 238) Differential equations 256 (WTW 256) Calculus 258 (WTW 258) Numerical methods 263 (WTW 263)

I covered nine different modules during my Maths A-Levels. Four core modules, a Further Pure Maths module, Statistics 1 and 2, Mechanics 1 and Decision making Maths. I got distinctions in every module a part from Statistics 1 and 2. Maths is my best subject, and something I grasp easily.

For 12 years of teaching statistics & mathematics at many levels, from Calculus courses to teaching Business Calculations, Calculations & Statistics and Quantitative techniques and Finance, as a Lecturer, a Teaching Assistant and as Tutor, I have been constantly learning and gaining experience as to what makes an effective and a polished practitioner of the craft.

I believe that I am the best tutor for this subject because I understood trigonometry in a way that was simple and less complicated. I studied the subject in a different way compared to how I was taught and I think that is an advantage because I am able to find many different ways to explain different concepts so that there is a higher understanding. This will allow maximum understanding in a short amount of time.

I got a distinction for pure maths at the end of matric. I have completed 3 maths courses at uct and achieved a first class pass for 2 of the 3. I believe in solidifying fundamentals and understanding an overview of the topics needed for study before diving into the practical component of learning- method learning is key.
