I have tutored Maths for almost 5 years both in primary and high school. I have always received positive feedback from my students. However, I also studied applied maths until my final year, so I have an advanced knowledge of mathematics and I am able to breakdown concepts to the simplest form when assisting learners.

Being placed into the top maths class for Cambridge students at St Charles College gave me the access to an incredible mathematics teacher, one who was especially good at trigonometry. I grasped the concept quickly and was able to view problems from many different aspects.

I am currently Finishing my Masters degree in Mechanical engineering, thus I have a very good mathematical background with an average of 83% for all my tertiary mathematics subjects and an average of 96% for my NSC matric mathematics.

I have made use of trigonometry through out my career at the University of Pretoria and have always found trigonometry to be a joy to learn and teach. In high school I excelled in the section of mathematics and hope to help others do as well.

I have an extensive university knowledge of mathematics as well as a BSc degree in Chemical Biology. I've been tutoring maths for 7 years and this makes me an experienced tutor not only with the work itself but because I've dealt with many students, I'm able to accommodate each student's individual personality and needs. I'm approachable and friendly and students respond well to my encouragement and guidance on how to do well. I ask lots of questions and give many examples to ensure that students have a firm grip on the subjects they struggle with. I am an Electronic Engineer. My current work deals with the underlying concepts on a daily basis. I completed my degreeat the University of Pretoria. I also have a few years teaching experience (primary school, high school and univeristy level) as well as being an assistant lecturer at the university.

I was in the highest maths class in grade 11 and 12 (second highest in grade 10). I obtained an average of 85% for maths at the end of matric. I did trigonometry for first semester in university too, so my skills extend beyond high school maths. I also got above 70% for my maths NBT in matric.

With respect to trigonometry , I have studied trigonometry up to Calculus B and have much experience tutoring this branch of Mathematics Since January 2017 , I have been working as an online and private mathematics tutor , teaching students mathematics grades 1-12 /IGCSE/ AS and A level and Calculus . In 2014, after I completed my Cambridge IGCSE and A level education and received my exemption certificate , I enrolled at the University of South Africa (UNISA). I am a UNISA BSC Mathematics student and I have obtained A* distinctions for Mathematics , Calculus A and Calculus B modules and examinations. I am excited , passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and mathematics. When I teach I focus completely on the student and client , their needs and provide assessments to find gaps in your understanding of your coursework.I use humor as a means to 'break the ice' and I work at the student's pace.I encourage the student to give their best while I give my best to assist the student and client. I am relaxed when I teach and provide a calm environment for the student to learn in . As a student , I understand the pressures we face while we study and feel a deep sense of achievement when I make a difference with teaching.As a teacher I am patient and I understand the stress that studying puts on us. When I teach , I utilize a whiteboard, books , drawings, notes and other tools to assist the student. I find the best method to ensure the student understands their work.I always discuss the work thoroughly with the student as I believe mathematics should be discussed in detail to ensure the student understands their work. I liaise directly with the student and client,provide feedback on lessons and try to teach mathematics in the most simple and easy to understand way.I understand the difficulties students face at school , especially when teachers rush students through the syllabus.
