I believe that the learning experience of mathematics should not only be limited within the confines of the classroom, it should be essential that students are able to solve problems outside the classroom.I still believe that practice makes perfect, time and again I constantly encourage my students to do a lot of exercises and problem solving at home, and most of all I do motivate them to have make the learning experience fun through working out problems with friends or fellow classmates. As a Maths Tutor, I understand that my main aim is to ensure that my students are able to grasp basic and advanced mathematical concepts. During 12 years of teaching statistics & mathematics at many levels, from Calculus courses to teaching Business Calculations, Calculations & Statistics and Quantitative techniques and Finance, as a Lecturer, a Teaching Assistant and as Tutor, I have been constantly learning and gaining experience as to what makes an effective and a polished practitioner of the craft, also I have been focusing on improving my own skills. I bring this experience, together with a commitment to continue learning and adjusting, to my future career as a lecturer of Statistics. The most important lesson for me has been the realization that the teaching of stats must be interactive and involve the student.
