I am a qualified Mechanical Engineer from the University of Pretoria. I attended school at St Benedict's College where I achieved an average of 83.4% in my grade 12 year, with 6 distinctions. I received half or full colours for academics all 5 years of my schooling and placed within the top 20 each year. I have a passion for learning and teaching. I have a knack for understanding hard to grasp concepts and simplifying them into easy to understand ideas. I believe that achieving great results requires an understanding of how to learn and not just what to learn.

My name is Tracy and I am a wife, mother, sister , best friend and a qualified teacher. I enjoy an active lifestyle and am a keen tennis player. I have been on an educational journey, teaching English and other subjects for the past 30 years. Now, I know that that sounds like a v e r y, v e r y long time, but my journey has taken me places and allowed me to meet and facilitate learning for some of the most inspirational students - adults, teenagers and children. These learners, many from different countries in the world, have motivated, encouraged and taught me so many life lessons. I have thoroughly enjoyed my teaching experience and I am passionate about making a difference by making learning fun and interactive. I am a fourth-year medical student. I am patient, friendly and hardworking. I was a consistent high scorer at school, and was the Dux Scholar (top student) in my matric year. I think education is the most valuable tool for a young person to acquire and would love to help anyone who is eager to broaden their knowledge.

If you do not understand what you do not understand I would like to help you work through the content in such a way that you can pinpoint where you are struggling with and have the tools to teach yourself. I strongly believe everyone can enjoy and be "good" at Maths and Science. I am also informed in study skills and can help you in the transition from classroom to online learning.

I currently work in the banking industry but have a passion for teaching others and seeing them excel in their academic endeavors. Having a degree in Actuarial Science and knowing what it takes to go through rigorous learning and examination, I am well equipped to help others to do the same at their current education level.

I have a wide range of interests including triathlons, adventure sports, guitar and yoga (both as a yoga teacher and lifelong student).
