I am a multi-faceted individual with a wide variety of interests that I pursue with determination and curiosity. ​ With Computer Science as my major, coding has become both an academic interest and a hobby. It rewards logical thinking, an ability I pride myself on, and the versatility of computers excites my passion for abstract reasoning and problem-solving. I am passionate about using computers to promote development and community and spend time considering how to use them to do such. ​ My additional subjects are physics and philosophy. Above and beyond the curriculum, I enjoy researching certain aspects of these fields. I often explore fascinating physical phenomena or read philosophical musings. I also regularly engage in critical discussion with my family and friends about a broad range of topics. ​ I am a creative individual and especially enjoy using music as an outlet for my creativity. I dabble with instruments, such as piano and ukulele, learning pieces, fooling around and, if the inspiration strikes, writing as well. ​ I believe in holding myself to a high standard and continual self-improvement, so I ensure that I stay fit and exercise frequently. I love both working out individually and taking part in team sports. In addition, I meditate often. I have recently started practicing Reiki as a method of clearing my mind and easing my thoughts.

Good day, my name is Crystal. I'm currently a student with a BSc Actuarial Science degree, currently working towards completing my honours degree in BSc Quantitative Risk Management in 2020. I have developed excellent communication and leadership skills throughout my course as well as my time on campus, by being an academic advisor in my hostel and serving on my faculty’s student council. My hard work and determination are highlighted by my achievement of a brown belt in karate and my Golden Key Academic Award. I've been a math tutor for the past two years for primary and high school pupils. It has always been a big passion of mine to see how real life problems can be solved with a simple maths equation.
