I am a Chemical Engineering postgraduate student and am currently busy with my Master's degree. I have been tutoring maths and science since the age of 16 and I love helping people learn. I am especially passionate about maths. I am patient and easygoing and enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into smaller, understandable building blocks to help students become confident in their abilities.

During my undergraduate studies I continued to tutor high school students privately in maths.
I was an assistant lecturer in the mathematics department for first year engineering students. I handled tutorial groups of between 50 and 70 students, and also did individual tutoring and gave extra classes for students who struggled.
Our school had a peer tutoring system where pupils could sign up for free tutoring done by their peers. From grade 10 I participated in this program, helping younger students with maths and science. I specifically focused on students in danger of failing the year. In 2013 I was head of the tutors that focused on these students and helped arrange tutors, followed up with students and continued my own tutoring as well.
I am currently busy with a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with focus on rubber technology
Specialisation in business management
Specialisation in polymer technology
When I was in high school I joined the peer tutoring program and have been tutoring maths ever since. I have tutored from grade 8 up to grade 12 and have also tutored first year calculus so I have 8 years of tutoring experience. I know how to break seemingly complex concepts down into simple blocks. I have spent a lot of time helping students regain confidence in their ability to do maths.
