I love numbers. I enjoy working with numbers. Because I have a love for reading, I develop a story from just numbers. Mathematics is crucial in every students career and helps broaden the horizons enabling the student to pursue his or her dream career.

I’m a little maths nerd. I’ve never not received a distinction in mathematics. I have gone to semi finals for maths Olympiad in grade 9. I did advanced maths grade 10 to grade 12. I completed first year university maths. Also, my sister struggled with maths and I’m really good at explaining. I have had mathematics in high school and university so far. The mathematical modules that I have passed so far include calculus, mathematical modelling, numerical analysis, general mathematics, linear Algebra, multi-variable calculus and actuarial/financial mathematics. As mentioned in my bio, I am completing a BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics degree at the University of Pretoria. Studies in actuarial science and mathematical statistics degrees are built on an academic basis of mathematics, statistics, analysis, and financial management.

Maths has always been one of my best subjects. I have a strategy for studying maths. First and foremost, we will understand and study the theory and rules of the section, and then we will practice. Once you truly grasp the concept of what you are doing, practice will make perfect and you’ll be acing those Algebra tests. It’s a tried and true method!
