Good day, my name is Sohan Singh. I am 22 years old and recently graduated from the University of Johannesburg where I studied a Bcom Finance degree and majored in Accounting, Finance, and Investment Management. Previously I have been tutoring privately. I tutored Grades R, 2 and Grade 8 and 9 Mathematics, English and Afrikaans . Together with that i tutored 1st year Accounting for Unisa students and was employed by the University of Johannesburg to tutor 2nd Year Accounting students. Recently I have been employed by a company called Robertsons Ventilation Industries as a Cost Accountant. However, I see myself becoming a lecturer once I attain my Charted Accountant Qualification so I do have a love for teaching.

Experience / Education

I matriculated from Sutherland High School in the year 2015. I went on to work part time at Super Games Arcade during my matric holidays thereafter univerisity holidays. I started my tertiary qualification in 2016 and obtained my Bcom Finance degree in the year 2019 from the University of Johannesburg. I tutored grade 8 and 9 students privately during my time at university. I also tutored Accountancy for a 1st year Unisa student in 2018. I was employed by the University of Johannesburg in 2019 to tutor 2nd year Accounting students. Classes of more that 50 students in a session. I am currently employed by a manufacturing company as an intern costing clerk/accountant.

I love numbers. I enjoy working with numbers. Because I have a love for reading, I develop a story from just numbers. Mathematics is crucial in every students career and helps broaden the horizons enabling the student to pursue his or her dream career.

Honestly, I failed Accounting on a university level in first year. I didn't stop there. I motivated myself everyday to make sure I succeeded as an Accountant one day. Thereafter I started understanding the subject better which motivated me to start tutoring the subject on a University level for 1st and 2nd year students. Practicing the subject everyday, made it one of my favorite subjects not only to work with but to teach ti others as well.
