Mathematics is an essential part of any high school or university education, and it can be very enjoyable if taught correctly and with practice. I have a strong foundation in Maths having studied it throughout High School and University, and I consistently received A marks. I am able to tutor from basic understandings to more complex problems!

I’m adept at simplifying complex mathematical concepts in order to make them understandable. I am confident in using a variety of different teaching techniques and methods to ensure that learners both comprehend and retain learning material. I’m also skilled at making mathematical concepts concrete, relevant and fun.

Teaching in the Foundation Phase of Primary schools has given me the experience needed to best assist learners between Grade R and Grade 3 to understand mathematical concepts. In a creative and engaging way, I teach a variety of Mathematical concepts that students are able to remember and apply in a variety of ways.

I am completing my degree in early childhood development this year. This means that I am qualified to teach grades R-3 and I am equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills in order to teach up to grade 7 level.

I am currently studying at Embury as a 2nd year student, specializing in foundation phase teaching. Mathematics was my favorite subject at school, believing that it is the only universal language that people understand if willing to learn the language.

While I was in high-school, specifically grades 11 and 12, I tutored fellow high-school students in Mathematics. Through this tutoring, my love for maths grew. I excelled in Advanced Programme Mathematics and Core Mathematics in high-school and would love to share my strategies towards achieving a high grade for maths with other current school students.
