I am able to offer tutoring services to primary school learners to assist with mathematical skills. I have taught maths at Foundation Phase level and have assisted struggling learners. I believe that success in this area relies on whether the basics of mathematical concepts are understood and therefore I focus on the ensuring the foundation is there and from there we build on those foundations.

I have been tutoring high school and primary school maths since 2016 with very positive results. I got 87% for mathematics in high school. I really enjoy maths, especially algebra and trigonometry. I even took AP maths and did maths in first year at university (UCT) because I love the subject so much.

In the last few years I have gained the skills and experience to vary my tutoring methods to cater to each individual student. I have a great understanding of the subject and I take the time to make sure the student gains a full understanding of the concept at hand.

Maths is my favorite subject. I have a very good understanding of all concepts of math and often participate in extra curricular math programs . I always receive a distinct for maths and have placed 2nd in my grade for my maths understanding. I also partake in Applied Programed Mathematics, where i receive further understanding of maths.

I have tutored maths for 3 years and achieved a distinction in mathematics in highschool, did advanced program maths and have a degree in biomedical engineering which required I do two years of engineering maths.

I have a great deal of experience tutoring students in this subject at the University of Pretoria and the surrounding High schools. Mathematics is my strong point and I love to help students to unlock their potential.

Of my 1100 hours of one-on-one private tuition, 276 were for mathematics. I am familiar with GDE, IEB, CIE, and UK syllabi and all their methods of problem-solving and exam requirements. I have also completed a BSc in Physics with applied mathematics electives which secures my knowledge of the subject.

I found a deep passion and love for Mathematics due to my Grade 5 teacher who changed my entire outlook on the subject. I was able to achieve 92% for Mathematics at the end of Matric and have had great success in tutoring students in this subject.

I think I would be the best tutor for this job because I did Maths tutoring for a few years in University so I understand the kind of effort it takes and I am willing to put in as much effort as needed to get desired results. I am also extremely patient and understanding and will always try to do my best for the student whether it be explaining a concept in several different ways with pictures or moving on to harder examples of questions that could be asked - will always try my best to prepare the student for anything.
