I have great passion with numbers and I am a Mathematical Statistics graduate with excellent experience in teaching both Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy.I have great ability to help students improve their scores and opportunities for success.

In 2009, I made it to the final round of the South African Harmony Mathematics Olympiad and was placed in the Top 100 in South Africa. I have both a BSc degree and a MSc degree in electronic engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2017 and 2019 respectively so I have a wealth of Maths knowledge. I achieved a distinction in Mathematics in my matric year. I was a mentor for HAWU and helped high school scholars who wanted to pursue a career in Science by tutoring Mathematics for Grade 10-12. I've been tutoring for the past 3 years with my students increasing their grades by 30-40%

I have acquired honours degree in mathematics. I worked in the Department of Applied Mathematics as a student assistant for the first and second year courses. My responsibility was to help students with problems they faced during their weekly tutorial sessions and for marking these problem sets handed in by the students. I also helped them with work they did not understand during lectures.

I am the best for this subject because when I was in grade 12 I got a Distinction in the the subject. I enjoy mathematical literacy, understand its trick very well, I was the top student in the subject when I was in grade 12. I enjoyed and understood the subject so well that I would also offer lessons to my fellow classmates so I helped them. Whenever any student didn't not understand I was the go to person so I can confidently say I am the best at it.

I have tutored Mathematics to students ranging from grade 1 through to grade 10 over the last decade. I believe in making math fun and relatable, if you can see how it will be used in real life then it is so much simpler to understand. Math needs to be seen as a practical subject and not just numbers on a page.

Since January 2017 , I have been working as an online and private mathematics tutor , teaching students mathematics grades 1-12 /IGCSE/ AS and A level and Calculus . In 2014, after I completed my Cambridge IGCSE and A level education and received my exemption certificate , I enrolled at the University of South Africa (UNISA). I am a UNISA BSC Mathematics student and I have obtained A* distinctions for Mathematics , Calculus A and Calculus B modules and examinations. I have assisted students with learning difficulties and have taught teenage students mathematics from primary school level successfully. I have assisted students with major gaps in their education and have encouraged them to give their best and have had breakthroughs in their understanding. I am excited , passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and mathematics. When I teach I focus completely on the student and client , their needs and provide assessments to find gaps in your understanding of your coursework.I use humor as a means to 'break the ice' and I work at the student's pace.I encourage the student to give their best while I give my best to assist the student and client. I am relaxed when I teach and provide a calm environment for the student to learn in . As a student , I understand the pressures we face while we study and feel a deep sense of achievement when I make a difference with teaching.As a teacher I am patient and I understand the stress that studying puts on us. When I teach , I utilize a whiteboard, books , drawings, notes and other tools to assist the student. I find the best method to ensure the student understands their work.I always discuss the work thoroughly with the student as I believe mathematics should be discussed in detail to ensure the student understands their work. I liaise directly with the student and client,provide feedback on lessons and try to teach mathematics in the most simple and easy to understand way.I understand the difficulties students face at school , especially when teachers rush students through the syllabus. I matriculated with a distinction in Mathematical Literacy. I took Mathematics in grade 10 and 11 but dropped to Mathematical Literacy in Matric. That helped me to gain a much better understanding of Mathematical Literacy. I often helped friends with this subject in high school.
