Although I am English speaking, I grew up in a dual-medium home and attended dual-medium schools. I achieved 85% for Afrikaans in Matric and I've continued to speak Afrikaans after school. Furthermore, I regularly speak Afrikaans in both a social and work environment.

My mother language is afrikaans and I like to help people realise what an amazing and beautiful language it is. I want to help students achieve their goals regarding Afrikaans. I also specialize in afrikaans and will want to assist students in achieving their goals.

I received top marks for this subject in my high school over consecutive years and as a student at a bi-lingual university I have had to write many reports in this language. Engineering is a discipline that requires quite a knowledgeable understanding of the grammar and sentence construction of the language that you are communicating in as they are very critical regarding this aspect. I am studying at NWU and when I started the university was predominantly Afrikaans, meaning that all of my subjects were presented in and my lecturers were Afrikaans.

As a Afrikaans speaking individual, I understand the Afrikaans language as well as the culture of it.
