Afrikaans is my home language, the language I received my subjects in, in both primary and high school. It is currently also one of my university modules. I have over ten years of instruction in this language.

I found Afrikaans to be quite a challenge when I was in primary school until I had a wonderful teacher who made it fun and made it easy to learn! She encouraged me to embrace the language and I have never looked back! I am therefor passionate about passing on this passion for the language

I have my Masters degree in Afrikaans Literature and Language and have also obtained my PCGE in Language education. I am able to explain the basics, and have the knack to make difficult concepts easier to understand. I am a teacher at a Public School so have taught most set works.

I am currently employed as an Afrikaans educator for learners in Grade 4 - 7. I am knowledgeable and up to date with recent teaching methodologies and techniques. I am also passionate about the subject and I believe with the correct guidance and assistance, Afrikaans can become a easy and enjoyable subject for anyone.
