Afrikaans was my favourite subject at school and I also took Afrikaans as a module in university. I reached 86% for Afrikaans in my final exams in matric and I have a passion for the language. I am fluent in the language and can assist with many tips.

I matriculated with an 87% average for Afrikaans, and can speak the language fluently, therefore, I am a great candidate to help you excel in this subject. I am good at make notes and coming up with ways which you can remember vocabulary that you will need in your orals and exams.

Afrikaans is my first home language and I have always done really well in school. Apart from speaking it all the time I also read Afrikaans. All 12 of my school years were done in Afrikaans schools. Both my parents are Afrikaans and I have grown up with this wonderful language. My pronunciation of Afrikaans words are really good as well

Once again, I received best marks for Afrikaans in my year group. I am very passionate about languages in general and find ideas and concepts relating to language very easy to convey and understand. I enjoy poetry, and find it very healing and relaxing to write in my free time.

Through my love of Afrikaans and hard work, I was able to achieve 92% for Afrikaans for my final matric mark. Moreover, I have tutored a grade 5 and a grade 7 student in Afrikaans (focusing on test preparation, grammar and vocabulary, and essay writing) from August to November 2017 and then again from October - November 2018 ). This was done on a part-time basis and I was a private tutor. I also tutored three high school students in Afrikaans (focusing on homework, essay composition, and exam preparation) from January to June 2018. By making Afrikaans "come alive" students come to love this highly descriptive language and enjoy the learning experience in an uplifting, relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. After the assessment of a student's level of comprehension and assisting with the immediate challenges at hand (i.e. homework of the day) we proceed steadily towards building a sound understanding of the structured principles and vocabulary at a pace geared towards the student's ability to grasp. There is no such thing as a "dumb question" and my students' success is my motivation for teaching.

Afrikaans is a language that has less people speaking it as it is not taught in some schools but I am passionate about reinforcing its culture and assist with others understanding it and enjoy it as I do too. Afrikaans requires patience, tenacity and a good understanding of it, I believe that I can be of such assistance and improve any student's Afrikaans skills in literature, language, vocabulary and writing skills.
