I am patient and passionate and want students to grasps the English language. I will strive to help out and work through any problem that needs to be answered or solved. And I will be available for answers when necessary.

During my PGCE teaching practicals, I took part in teaching reading. This includes students getting into there respective ability groups. One by one each group would come to the carpet for reading time. Each group had a book that suited their ability level. One by one each student would read their book to the teacher (me). Duting this time in their reading groups they would also read out words you give them. If they get it wrong they get to keep the word and at the end they need to read the word again. Their was also story time at the end of the day. The teacher (me) would pick a story at the end of the day to read to the students. After the story had been read the teacher (me) would ask questions about what happened, the characters, and what they think is going to happen after the end etc.

Reading is a fundamental life skill which you need in order to get an education. An education is your stepping stone to your future. I would love to assist young people in learning the different consonants and vowels and putting all of things together to make words and sentences. My aim will be to teach you to read with comprehension.

I believe a love of reading goes hand-in-hand with a love of writing and learning. Reading mindfully takes time and practise. With my experience in both academic and commercial writing, I believe I can help learners read more efficiently and grasp in-depth understanding of any text. Regardless of where a student currently is, in terms of ability, I believe I can help increase confidence with their reading and (hopefully) ignite a love for literature for years to come.

When I was nine my primary school awarded me with the "best grade 3 reader" achievement. Although it is quite an insignificant award to mention it did propel my love for reading and performing literature. I understand the difficulties some students and even adults experience with reading as I have worked with dyslexic, autistic and ADHD students who experienced great difficulty with reading. Reading is absolutely critical in life as it is the instrument necessary to gain knowledge. It is thus extremely important to spend time bettering and improving your reading abilities and which is why I want to help.

I have a very good grasp of the English language and its intricacies. This is evidenced by my matric scores in the subject. My teaching style is to gear tutorials to match the way in which the learner naturally takes in information. This makes for efficient sessions and significant value added.

I am the best tutor for the subject as I am able to pace with children's progress in reading as I took Home Language English as a subject in my High School learning years. I might as well state that I have experience in training and practicing my younger siblings in reading their school books in languages such as English and Setswana. However, I am willing to train in any field of language.

I have studied English at a university level and am passionate about the language. I am patient with students as they learn at their own capacity and ability. I also have two years of experience tutoring the subject at an institute with primary and high school learners. I will also provide any extra material needed to advance the students in their learning.

I have spoken this language since I learnt how to speak. Therefore reading is not problematic as English is my first language. I went to private schools which allowed to communicate in this language frequently . In addition to this I went to Wits University to complete my undergraduate studies and this again was taught in English. That said there is no doubt that my reading is fluent. Along with my reading abilities I analyze well. I did literature for my A level (Cambridge examination) and obtained a 68% which was 2% from a B. However for my ‘O’ I obtained an A in English Literature and a B in the English language . Along the same vein my degree was a general BA (Bachelor of Arts) which challenged me to be analytical, a skill which I obtained in high-school through literature. I look forward to teaching this language.

I have a good understanding of the English language and am a fluent English speaker. I also currently assist children with English at Kumon where I have a part time job. I am familiar with the basics needed to read and am very patient.
