I am a final year Mechatronics Engineering student at UCT. I achieved a 90% average in my schooling career. I am eager to share my learning methods to help make understanding school work much easier. I can share with you learning methods and revision techniques to help you prepare for tests from the begining and to help you learn better in class.

Good Day, My name is Anastasia, I was born in Cape Town , South Africa in 1993, and spent my school career at Clarendon School for Girls in East London, South Africa, where I was involved in both cultural activities such as marimba band and ballet as well as sporting activities from rowing to hockey and water-polo. I enjoyed participating in all that was available while at school and loved the opportunity to go away on sporting tours. I then moved to Stellenbosch at the end of high school, where I completed my BA International Studies at Stellenbosch University in 2015. In 2018 I started my PGCE (Post Graduate Diploma in Education) at Cornerstone Institute. In 2016 I had the opportunity to go and teach in China for my 3month vacation which I absolutely loved. I enjoyed teaching the children and being a part of something bigger than myself. At the beginning of 2017 I volunteered for six-months in Zimbabwe at Ebenezer, an Agricultural and Training College. Ebenezer takes in students ranging between ages 18 – 25 to equip them with skills in agriculture, education and economics. The students have lessons in the morning and hands on agricultural training in the afternoons. During my time at Ebenezer, I was charged with the responsibility of teaching English and Excel to the students, as well as assisting in writing and developing Curricula for Grades 5 –7. I assisted with the developing of strategies to upgrade and maintain the current learning system with the resources available and provided support for the teachers through mentorship and skills development workshops. As a team we presented leadership and development courses for the students, we also assisted in financial management, offering training courses providing the students with skills and know-how, of how to save, spend and become self- sustainable. I am currently working in Doha, Qatar, where I have been a homeroom teacher for a grade 5 class and taught mathematics as my main subject. I am currently teaching grade 10 English and am a grade 10 homeroom teacher.

Hello! I am currently in my fourth year of university pursuing a BA LLB. My interests include reading, writing, current affairs, politics, foreign languages and cultures. I am passionate about helping others, especially in the sphere of teaching. As someone who has benefited from having a tutor myself, I understand the importance of such a job. I am able to adapt easily to a variety of situations and can swiftly identify and solve any problems that may arise. My extensive tutoring experience and involvement in various youth empowerment programs allows me to easily connect with students and adopt new methods of teaching to students who are failing to understand the standard curriculum and need new avenues to understand the content. My greatest passion in life is teaching and have experienced great success at school and at university due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. Currently, I am studying towards a PGCE majoring in Accounting & EMS, rounding out my undergraduate background in Accounting at Stellenbosch University. I have been tutoring and teaching for 4 years in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, private individual tutoring, and teaching in suburban, and urban classroom and home settings. I have taught English in South Korea for 2-3 years as part of my educational experience. I’m also a qualified Accountant with many years of corporate experience. As a tutor, my goal is to untangle any academic problem we encounter together and build a connection with the learner at the same time. I am currently a second year student at UCT. I was born in Johannesburg and went to school at Reddam House Waterfall. Both my parents are Chinese so I am fluent in both Chinese and English and in addition to this I studied both Afrikaans and French in High School and obtained a distinction for both. I was Dux Scholar in my year for High school and studied Actuarial Science last year. This year I plan to switch and do a triple major in Mathematics, Mathematical statistics and Finance so that I may focus on those subjects specifically. As far as personality goes and my own personal life goes I am a very social and friendly person. I enjoy helping others and I have had experience tutoring many of my friends and my younger brother. I want to make sure that you can achieve to the best of your abilities and that you have all the help you need in order to achieve your dreams in the future. We all learn in very different ways and that is something I always keep in mind.

I tutor Mathematics, Physics and AP Mathematics at a high school level. I am currently an undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics student at the University of Cape Town. I have a strong work ethic which lead to my achieving 7 As and a 90 percent aggregate in Matric. I was also placed on the Dean's list last year. I have a passion for Mathematics and Physics and want to foster an interest in these subjects among other students. My aim is to provide students with a strong conceptual understanding of the subjects and to equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in both the IEB and NSC examinations. Hi, I am Idjaz and I am from Mauritius, a small but beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. I managed to grab a major scholarship in my A-levels achieving a distinction in all of my majors which include Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. I was ranked 1st in my school and ranked 143rd among the 10,000 A-level students in 2016. Currently, I am doing my third year in Actuarial Science at UCT. Some of my results include a first class in MAM1000W (83) and in STA1006S (84). I am also currently a statistics tutor at UCT where I teach 1st year students.
