Afrikaans has always come easily to me, but not to many of my friends and past students, therefore I have developed key phrases, tips and tricks to best help you ace your grade in a fun and easy way!

My home language is Afrikaans. I grew up in Pretoria and speak suiwer Afrikaans. My schooling from Primary school to High School was in Afrikaans. I did every subject in Afrikaans and received high marks. I love Afrikaans and find it easy to teach and because I was forced to completely change from Afrikaans to English when I entered tertiary, I have a high level of compassion and patience when it comes to teaching this beautiful language.

I received 90% for Afrikaans First Additional language in Matric and it is my third language, therefore i know all the tips and tricks to subject which i am willing to share. I have many FREE PAST PAPERS and NOTES that i am able to provide

Love the English language and received a distinction for English. Love Accounting, received a distinction for accounting and currently studying final year in accounting at UCT.

I am a second year Bachelor of Science student at University of Cape Town.

Through my love of Afrikaans and hard work, I was able to achieve 92% for Afrikaans for my final matric mark. Moreover, I have tutored a grade 5 and a grade 7 student in Afrikaans (focusing on test preparation, grammar and vocabulary, and essay writing) from August to November 2017 and then again from October - November 2018 ). This was done on a part-time basis and I was a private tutor. I also tutored three high school students in Afrikaans (focusing on homework, essay composition, and exam preparation) from January to June 2018. This was also done on a part-time basis and I was a private tutor.

I come from an Afrikaans mother tongue family, with the language extending through generations of my forefathers. Being surrounded by the language throughout my life, I have become very familiar with it. As a result I excelled in high school Afrikaans. Extending beyond high school, my medical school career requires me to be fluent in Afrikaans. Hence, for the past 3 years, I have continued to study Afrikaans language. Many students often matriculate with pristine reports displaying a poor Afrikaans mark as the only stain. Whether it is the way it is taught, or the nature of the language, these shortcomings are something I feel are not necessary. That's where I come in.

Whilst studying at UCT, and being completely academically bilingual, I am actually a native speaker of Afrikaans and will absolutely love to tutor anyone who is willing to learn the beautiful language, regardless of level. Hope to work with you in the near future!

Afrikaans is my home language and I have been teaching it to high school students for over a year. i know that learning languages is not an easy task, but coming through the high school system myself, I have got a few tricks up my sleeve that will surely make understanding, reading and writing the language at a much faster pace, easier.

Afrikaans is also a subject I have tutored in for the past three years and it has been by far the most rewarding subject to tutor in. I have learnt so much about how every student thinks and engages differently with the material and it is always exciting to help people to understand how to better approach a foreign language from an analytical perspective so that they can break it down into something more approachable.
