I am currently a second year student at UCT. I was born in Johannesburg and went to school at Reddam House Waterfall. Both my parents are Chinese so I am fluent in both Chinese and English and in addition to this I studied both Afrikaans and French in High School and obtained a distinction for both. I was Dux Scholar in my year for High school and studied Actuarial Science last year. This year I plan to switch and do a triple major in Mathematics, Mathematical statistics and Finance so that I may focus on those subjects specifically. As far as personality goes and my own personal life goes I am a very social and friendly person. I enjoy helping others and I have had experience tutoring many of my friends and my younger brother. I want to make sure that you can achieve to the best of your abilities and that you have all the help you need in order to achieve your dreams in the future. We all learn in very different ways and that is something I always keep in mind.

I have a very good grasp of Mathematics in a fundamental kind of way and I believe that because of that I am very good at explaining concepts to people. I did both Mathematics and AP Mathematics at a High School level and was first in both. My final matric Mathematics result was 98% and I continued on to do a triple major including Mathematics and Mathematical Statististics.

I am Chinese and Mandarin is my first language. I grew up speaking the language and attended a language school after which I went on to achieve in the 90s for the SK level 5 exam. I would tutor this subject very well because of the fact that my Mandarin and English are practically on the same level and I can consider both my first language so I would be very good at explaining everything clearly but also have a deep understanding of the Mandarin language.

I was first in the grade for this subject for 5 years straight. I thoroughly enjoyed the subject and helped tutor many students in my grade who struggled with the concept and hence I feel that I do a good job in clarifying tricky concepts.
