Mathematics tutors in Pretoria

I have experienced both failure and success in the subject of mathematics. In my matric year I managed to raise my prelim mark from a 60 to a final average of 85% at the end of matric. I understand what it takes to allow students to succeed in this subject.

Mathematics was one of my best (highest scoring) subjects at high school and university level. In my day to day work, I use mathematics often. I may be able to bring math to life (make it a little less abstract).

I have taken training over the two years of my tutoring experience at the University of Pretoria. Through the training, I have developed skills that are very critical in imparting knowledge that suits everyone regardless of their background. I believe through my outstanding example it can motivate learners to set goals and achieve them.

Maths is a subject that exercise the brain. Maths needs to be practised and practised - practise makes perfect. You always need to ask me if you don't understand, because I won't know if you really understand or just say it to get the lesson over and done.

So far I have taught primary school learners with maths and have enjoyed it because I am able to bring back courage and self confidence to the learners by making learning numbers fun and less challenging.

I completed AP mathematics in high school and have completed three years of mathematics at the University of Pretoria and have always found mathematics to be a joy to learn and teach. In high school I excelled in mathematics and hope to help others do as well.

I am passionate and good in explaining mathematics, by demonstrating, giving learners many examples as possible, while giving them a series of assessments to test their knowledge. I enjoy sharing my philosophy of numbers thus building intrinsic motivation for learners.

I have a complete understanding of this subject. I will be able to effectively break it down for my students. I usually studied mathematics in groups and therefore I have reasonable teaching experience when it comes to this subject.

I received 85% for mathematics in matric and I have 3 years of experience in tutoring this subject. I am well versed in all fields of math within those levels and believe any one can be with the right attitude, assistance and work ethic.

Good foundation on primary subjects. Languages and theory subjects as well. Prior experience from teaching abroad, as I have a hobby for teaching and enjoy the environment. We use good study methods as well as a follow up programme to ensure students stay up to track.
