I have a160 hours TEFL/TESOL and have taught online and in-person. I have a wide-range of interests and knowledge for casual or school English, and my vocabulary and grammar are excellent. I can confidently teach either UK or US English.

Having gone through all my education in English, I have a good command of the English language. I also have a score of 9 in the General IELTS examination. I have tutoring experience and I have the desirable soft skills; patience, understanding and structure to successfully tutor this subject.

I am an education editor for an internationally accredited higher education institution, and I have former experience in lecturing English and Philosophy to both first and second/foreign language students. I received training and have teaching experience in both Australia and South Africa. My current full-time job comprises improving the standard of learning material for our students from both a language and pedagogical perspective, and my passion in life is to positively contribute, in any way possible, to students' learning experience. I have also worked as a writing instructor at a writing lab and have spent many hours helping students develop better writing strategies and skills on both school and university level.

I am a qualified TEFL teacher, with over ten years of tutoring English. I am able to help with the basics, or more advanced needs. I can teach grammar, spelling, sentence construction, writing, reading and conversation.

I have studied First Language English at a private all-girls school from grade 0 through to grade 12. I studied English Literature for 4 years throughout university as it was one of my major subjects for my Bachelor's degree. I am trained as an English as a foreign language teacher and have taught children in Thailand for over a year. I also have online teaching and tutoring experience with children as well as adults. I am currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education online.

I have 2 years experience working as an English Teaching Assistant in France in both high schools and middle schools alike . I therefore have extensive experience teaching English as a second language to learners of all ages and levels. I have also been a private English tutor in South Africa working with the national syllabus. I have also taught English as a second language to adult learners in France. I have also obtained my Honours Degree in Translation and therefore have an excellent understanding of how knowledge og one language can aid in the learning of a second.

I am a highly qualified and experienced English Teacher with years of experience teaching a variety of ages groups in a variety of contexts. I am a dedicated teacher who has a commitment to lifelong learning. My teaching philosophy is summed up by the Maori word for learning ako, which views knowledge as a collective process: as you teach you learn, as you learn you teach. I have taught and lectured at various schools and colleges in South Korea, Oman, and South Africa. I completed a BA, an Honours in English, and an MA at Rhodes University. I also attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Tertiary Education from the University of South Africa and a PGCE from the University of the Witwatersrand. I have a TEFL certificate from the Bay Language Institute, a certificate in the Strategic Implementation of ICT Integration in Education from the University of the Witwatersrand, and completed my amanuensis training at the South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute.

I am extremely passionate about English and all it has to offer and it helps that I am an avid reader and did AP English in my high school days. Literature is such a diverse and difficult section, but my enthusiasm for the language only makes it easier.

I have a friend from Ecuador who I tutored in English as she only speaks Spanish. I have a good understanding of different cultures and accents as well. I have a lot of patience and will do my utmost to not just teach but have you Understand.

I've completed my TEFL course and since English is not my first language, I understand the fear of having to learn a new language and all the challenges that goes with it. My students never have to be afraid of making mistakes, as I know exactly how they feel and what it is that they are trying to achieve.
