I am an experienced English teacher. I have taught students that had English as a foreign language, I had students ranging from different ages as well as different English skill levels. I had to help them with different aspects from reading writing comprehension, conversation.

Even though I was raised to be Afrikaans, I am very fluent in English and I took English as a Home language up to matric level. I also have completed English up to 2nd year level at the University of Pretoria. I am extremely patient and always willing to help!

I am a native English speaker with a passion for helping other communicate effectively and developing life long skills and a love for reading. It is not enough to be able to just speak English, you must be able to comprehend it and use the language effectively but most importantly have fun while doing so.

I have over five years of experience teaching English as a foreign/second language. Mainly to Korean students, but also to Spanish students and some South Africans. English is tough to learn as foreign language but I have developed creative ways to help my students to engage in English over the years that make the task less scary. Conversational English is my specialty with a focus on communication and building confidence when speaking. I also have experience with preparation for the IELTS exam.

I passed Grade 12 English 1st Language (HG) with a "B" symbol (70-79%). I have been conducting research since 3rd year university level in Geography where writing skills, grammar, and a more in-depth understanding of English is required.

I did the TEFL course. I believe English is very important as it is the language that enables us to connect with the world. To know the basics and understand the language is so important. I would love to help others understand this language so they can understand others.

I help students excel by providing them with different learning techniques such as mind maps, flash cards and summaries.
