Calculus is a subject I've both enjoyed and excelled in at both school and university level. Helping friends with Calculus has proven beneficial for both sides. I also find it easy to explain methods/ find simple, effective ways of uniquely helping individuals based on what works best for them. I am well suited for this since I use Calculus as a crucial tool in daily calculations as a student studying Mechanical engineering, thus understand the importance and application techniques of Calculus in the real world.

I received a distinction for calculus during my first semester at university. It is no exaggeration to say that calculus is the foundation of modern mathematics or, more generally, the foundation of modern science. Figuratively speaking, I think what calculus is to science and technology is like what a trunk is to a tree, and what feet is to a human being. I am the right one to teach this subject because I not only teach calculus for the mere fact of teaching it, I love the arts behind this theory, I don't believe that any other field of mathematics is so well developed pedagogically. And it's my mission to see my learners grasp it to the heart.

I have passed my first calculus module at university and have a great understanding of this particular aspect of maths. This allows me to solve problems efficiently, and my further knowledge of university maths helps tremendously with the high school building blocks upon which it is based.

I am currently Finishing my Masters degree in Mechanical engineering, thus I have a very good mathematical background with an average of 83% for all my tertiary mathematics subjects and an average of 96% for my NSC matric mathematics.

I have made use of calculus through out my career at the University of Pretoria and have always found calculus to be a joy to learn and teach. In high school I excelled in the section of mathematics and hope to help others do as well.

I have acquired honours degree in mathematics. I worked in the Department of Applied Mathematics as a student assistant for the first and second year courses. My responsibility was to help students with problems they faced during their weekly tutorial sessions and for marking these problem sets handed in by the students. I also helped them with work they did not understand during lectures.

University calculus is a big jump from the maths we do in high school. The way of thinking, the content as well as the difficulty all differ greatly and need to be mastered to succeed. I will help you attain that.

I am an Electronic Engineer. My current work deals with the underlying concepts on a daily basis. I completed Calculus 1 2 and 3 at the University of Pretoria. I also have a few years teaching experience whilst being an assistant lecturer at the university.

Calculus plays a big part in terms of the engineering I've had to learn so I have a good grasp of the subject matter and am also excited to help others get to grips with it and enjoy it as much as I do.
