Onesimo is currently a PhD student in Particle Physics (Data Analysis) and the current student representative for the "Women in Physics in the SA" Forum. Her enthusiasm for education goes beyond the classroom as she launched an outreach program aimed at educating girls and boys from disadvantaged communities. One of her recent accomplishments was invited to conduct her MSc work by CERN (European research organization which operates the world's largest particle physics laboratory). She has been teaching mathematics and physics since her second year at the university and has taught from primary to university level. She's recently begun teaching English as a foreign language online. If you are looking for a teaching lesson that is based mostly on your preferences, ensures that not only will your grades improve but you’ll have a deeper understanding on the subject matter please do not hesitate to book a lesson with me. :) Looking forward to our lessons

I volunteered to tutor Primary Students in the township of Mamelodi with Maths and English.
I was responsible for capturing Grade 12 final year exam marks for the Department of Education to receive and ensure that all the exam scripts are in the correct order.
Assist Grade 7-9 students with Maths at Pretoria Girls High.
I facilitated two groups of maximum 35 students, assisting first year physics students doing their experiments during a session of 3 hours.
I volunteered to be an ambassador for HartRAO my duties were to assist in the establishment, implementation and on-going management of HartRao’s vision and mission by volunteering time at schools or universities, writing articles, making informational videos, and creating science "fun games" to both teach and learn from the general public.
I was coordinating second year physics labs with a group of not more than 10 students per session, setting up the lab stations and assisting students where help was needed. I was also responsible for grading the lab reports and submitting marks for final year results. Being a head tutor, I was responsible for conducting first year physics tutorials, assisting a class of more than 20 students with their Physics problems and marking tests. This also included invigilating during test and exam periods.
My role is to manage the website for the organisation. I also aim to stimulate an interest in physics amongst girls and women. This is followed by actions to attract girls to physics that should be addressed at several stages. I encourage girls at primary and secondary school level to choose science as a subject through outreach programs specifically aimed at females.
As a tour guide I introduce people to CERN’s mission and achievements. I am the public’s first line of contact with CERN. I am both an ambassador for the Laboratory and a purveyor of knowledge, which I share with all types of visitor.
This was a general physics undergraduate degree, to which I majored in applied mathematics. During this time, I tutored Physics and also conducted Physics labs for first years.
This was a general physics program with numerous physics courses such as Quantum mechanics, solid states, statistical, Introduction to particle physics etc. I completed a research report under the Nuclear Physics stream and it was presented in front of the entire Physics community at Wits. I obtained a distinction for my Introduction to particle physics module.
My entire MSc thesis was conducted at CERN. What a privilege and honour to have been part of this huge collaboration. This opportunity has helped me to improve on my communication skills, as well as develop my capacity in this field as the structure of the course was a combination of talks and working sessions such, initiating collaboration in these areas. These factors are critical for the competitiveness of Physics in South Africa and its standing internationally .
My entire PhD studies will be conducted in collaboration with CERN (The European research organisation that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world). This research will be divided into two sections, one primarily focused in Data analysis using Machine Learning techniques and the second part focuses on ATLAS TileCal development of Diagnostic Verification System (DVS) software. My desire to pursue a PhD in Particle Physics with a focus in Data Analysis is because South Africa (SA) lacks appropriate data management systems. The lack of proper data collection is one of the biggest problems in the country needing urgent attention if SA hopes to achieve 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
I have one-on - one tutoring experience in English, but I have recently started tutoring online English as a foreign language. My experience of living in Switzerland and trying to learn a new language is what prompted me to teach English. I know how difficult it is to learn a new language, but what makes me the best teacher is to understand that people learn differently at different paces. So beginning "lessons" with general conversations is necessary, and learning what your student is good at. I believe that a good tutor should be versatile in his teaching style.

I have tutored Maths for almost 5 years both in primary and high school. I have always received positive feedback from my students. However, I also studied applied maths until my final year, so I have an advanced knowledge of mathematics and I am able to breakdown concepts to the simplest form when assisting learners.

I envision a world where everyone is enthusiastic about mathematics and science, sees the value and beauty of mathematics and is empowered by the opportunities it offers. In addition to preparing students for careers and post-secondary education, I believe that this means that I also teach mathematics and science in order to equip students to participate actively in our democratic society. I achieve this purpose by focusing mathematics and science on research and critical thinking so that the learners can recognise and perceive claims made by those in authority as true or false and misleading. As a math and science tutor I know that I am committed to inspiring my students so that they can not only improve their own lives but also better understand and critique the world around them.

I received a distinction for calculus during my first semester at university. It is no exaggeration to say that calculus is the foundation of modern mathematics or, more generally, the foundation of modern science. Figuratively speaking, I think what calculus is to science and technology is like what a trunk is to a tree, and what feet is to a human being. I am the right one to teach this subject because I not only teach calculus for the mere fact of teaching it, I love the arts behind this theory, I don't believe that any other field of mathematics is so well developed pedagogically. And it's my mission to see my learners grasp it to the heart.

Physics is my passion, it is a challenge to common sense.I love the fact it all is so self-consistent. Of course, it couldn't have been otherwise, but it's still lovely. The mathematics behind physics, too, is like a language we speak. Like now, I'm writing a few words in English to describe the things I think about. For Physics, mathematics is the same. When one sees through the equations and "reads" the mathematics and translates them, they are amazed at how intuitive and simple things that are so complicated become (for example, the entire electromagnetic theory is based on just four small equations!). You must, of course, be familiar with the process of "reading" through mathematics to be able to do this. And that's a very difficult but very rewarding experience. Therefore my advanced physics knowledge, along with my physics teaching experience and finally my love and desire to see others understand the beauty behind this subject makes me the best tutor.

I have experience in writing scientific work and also in reviewing literature. Currently, I have contributed to four proceedings and written scientific papers for each of them, one has been published and the others have been accepted for publication. I have also contributed to the international paper under the collaboration of ATLAS at CERN, which has also been published. However, as a postgraduate student working with CERN, it is mandatory to review papers from other institutions once every semester that adds to my experience. In addition, I wrote a research project report (during my Honours Year) and also my MSc dissertation, which is currently under review. With this experience, I believe I am among the best candidates for tutoring this subject. I also have experiencing tutoring English (volunteering) at disadvantaged communities in Pretoria.
