I have been an educator for more than 10 years. I have my Honours degree in Psychology and feel that this has helped me to approach teaching from a perspective that is based on the learning and age appropriate level of the child.

Afrikaans is my home language. I believe I have a full understanding of the subject. I completed my NSC at an Afrikaans Highschool, Die Hoërskool Menlopark, and received a distinction in Afrikaans Huistaal. I feel comfortable in both speaking and teaching Afrikaans.

I truly love the Afrikaans language. I had a distinction for this subject in Matric and in addition to this, I also took Additional Afrikaans (Gevorderde Afrikaans) and had an average of 90% for this subject by the end of Matric. I read a lot of Afrikaans literature and poetry and have an excellent understanding of this language. I will be able to inspire any student to not only excel at this subject, but appreciate the language.

I am extremely skilled in Afrikaans and received a 91% average in High School for this subject. I have tutored many students this subject, from language rules to the prescribed reading. Succeeding in increasing their percentage by at least 10%.

I have tutoring experience and am a quick learner myself. If I do not have the answer I will search for it until I have it. I am fluent in Afrikaans and can explain it in a way that anyone can understand.

I am a native Afrikaans speaker. I received a high distinction in grade 12 for Afrikaans. I have sparked interest in the language in the primary school children that I have tutored. I have a true love for the language.

Coming from a German family, I was forced to learn the basics of the language from a young age in order to understand those around me. This benefitted next greatly when it came to learning Afrikaans. My skills to learn a language fast helped me to achieve a B for Afrikaans without battering an eyelid. Living in Pretoria has also enabled me to expand my knowledge of the language and understand the majority of those around me.

I am fully bilingual and have a good command of both English and Afrikaans. I teach grammar, vocabulary, spelling and lots more. My classes are presented in a fun, extremely entertaining and engaging way through games, music and props. Many of my students look very forward to their sessions with me every week. I have a great sense of humour which makes the learning environment a good, healthy place to be because students feel relaxed. A stressed student will not absorb and remember information in so it is imperative that my students feel calm.

It's my home language since I was born and I really have a passion for it. I have different methods of teaching a child a language they don't understand and don't want to learn. I have precious experience on how to motivate a child to learn and do homework.

I am an Afrikaans speaker and I teach Afrikaans to Grade 3. I would also be able to teach you simple Afrikaans words as well as well as how to form a sentence. We could look at language teaching such as past tense, punctuation, syllables, plurals etc
