I have taught Afrikaans to children in my part-time tutoring job. Afrikaans was a subject I got a distinction in. Since English is my first language, it would be easy for me to understand and assist children where they are battling.

I have an hon.degree in Afrikaans as well as a B.ed degree. I specialise in First additional language with focus on learners who battle. I have 14 years experience. I have a hands-on approach and I am very adaptable to childrens needs.

I love languages and teaching their speaking, reading and writing to students. It is satisfying to help a person grow in confidence, as they are shown it is not as difficult as they may have thought., and great fun to be able to communicate using a new language, or grow in the ease with which one reads, writes and speaks it.

I am a native Afrikaans speaker and I received a distinction for it in high school. I have a thorough understanding of the language, as well as experience with many Afrikaans literary texts. I also understand the difficulty of learning another language in school and I can guide you in achieving your best!

Afrikaans is a beautiful language to both read and speak. When we understand and can read and write another language, we get a whole new world opened to us. We see our other cultures see things and then can relate to people in a better way.

My goal with tutoring is to assist and teach learners academic skills that will serve them well in school. I will partner with the learners to teach them to become independent participants in their own learning. During our time togther, skills like oraganization, task initiation, focus and time management, will be taught in order for the learners to have successfull learning experience.

I always enjoyed this subject in school, my Afrikaans teachers were always finding fun new ways of helping us understand the importance of certain words or punctuation. I would like to bring that same amount of fun and learning to my students

I achieved 90% in my final exams for this subject, and maintained distinctions throughout high school. I am bilingual and can easily help you learn this language. I will help you understand your required reading with translations and interpretations, answer questions, make use of past papers, and provide you with valuable resources.

I love the Afrikaans language and how it is still developing. I enjoyed this subject the most in school and is hoping to make it fun for other people as well. I have a great passion for Afrikaans and I think if you know the history of how a certain word came to an existence, you would also enjoy learning the language more and would have a better understanding of the spelling and everything.
