I am an English home language speaker and I am proficient in different terminology suitable for young learners. I have taught new vocabulary to Foundation Phase learners, having focused on spelling, pronunciation and building context around the word.

I was the editor of my school magazine and have sound English skills. I also did very well in English at school. Writing tasks come very naturally to me and I have an extensive vocabulary due to my love of reading. I would be comfortable teaching vocabulary to those who need help.

As a prolific bibliophile and practicing attorney, I have a very good command of the English language. I have an extensive interest in a variety of fields, including law, health, various hobbies, non-fiction, biographical works, and much more, and would be willing to engage with all ages to increase their English knowledge.

I have a very broad English vocabulary as I read continuously and frequently speak to other English teachers and linguists. I strongly promote the use of different parts of English speech and the need for students to use more descriptive language that includes adjectives.

My vocabulary in English as well as Afrikaans are great since I was in an Afrikaans school and after school studied in English. I also did counselling in both English and Afrikaans. I have also done a lot of writing such as a thesis and other tasks where vocabulary are very important.

I started reading English literature at a very young age. As a result, my English vocabulary has been building up continuously as the years go by. I am fluent in English. I have completed IGCSE and IBDP English at the International School of Hout Bay. I did well in both degrees. I am able to teach English to your child and come up with fun ways to do so.
