I have a great passion for Geography- all aspects of it. Mapwork is my ultimate favourite topic that forms part of Geography. The subject is second nature for me, and it comes naturally when I am having conversations with others. I received a distinction for Geography as my major subject in University. I wish to help students and learners feel as passionate as me about Geography. I helped various high school students achieve distinctions in Geography, after almost failing, within a month or so. It is all about respect and motivation and dedication for the subject.

I am passionate about Geography as a subject, and I often find myself reflecting about how learning this subject at school equipped me for the "real world" in many ways - be it from simple map reading to better understanding the principles of human geography to appreciating the awesomeness of how our physical world came to be. This passion lead me to achieve a 90% matric result for Geo, which was recognised by the IEB for being within the top 1% of all matric students in 2015. I have developed a particular study technique for tackling heavily content-based subjects (like Geo) which might help students remember the countless facts and principles associated with the subject when preparing for exams.

I have a passion for Geography and obtained more than 90% in matric for the subject. What makes me different from other tutors is my unique way of teaching based on my first interaction with the student according to which future lessons are designed.

Geography was my favourite subject back in school, and I continue to educate myself about nature and our planet; although this education has been informal and not through college, it has helped me to have a great understanding of our planet and nature. I have my own vegetable garden, which I love working in, and I regularly do fishing; which thanks to my geographical understanding is always a fun time.

Geography is a high volume subject, which can be broken down into various sections. I will show you how to break this down as well as explain the concepts in the subject in order to gain a full understanding of the content. Geography is an opportunity to showcase how much the student knows, and I will ensure the student can understand and then display as much as possible. This will be done by reviewing the material s well as incorporating writing techniques when answering questions.

I have obtained A in the subject plus two years experience in tutoring it. Many of the Leaners I have tutored are working very well in their academics. Not only that, but also they stay motivated because I am a motivational speaker

I am a mature lady who relates well to people of all ages, especially children with whom I love working and in whom I build a passion and love for learning. I am patient and deal with the children in a calm manner teaching them the importance of determination and that nothing is impossible. Together we can conquer each and every subject in a way which they understand and through this they learn a good work ethic and learn self-discipline, in which I am a great believer . I am quick to encourage and praise my students when it is necessary and this helps build their confidence and motivate them to cooperate with me. I am bilingual, reliable and organised and give each child I tutor my full attention helping them to achieve their goals and to ultimately cope on their own and become successful scholars and students.

Completed my Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) at UNISA in 2014. Completed my Honours in School Management through UNISA, as well as a Bachelors of Theology (B.Th) through SATS. Currently completing my Masters at UCT in Education Policy, Leadership & Change. I am concerned about socio-economic injustices and use my passion, i.e., being a patient teacher, to address these issues.

Geography is a subject that many students don't pursue because they don't manage to come to terms with the basic concepts and therefore feel overwhelmed. I aim to get an idea of where a student is at and work from there upward, ensuring that the foundation understanding is present. Thus ensuring that enjoyment for the subject can be present and the student can excel.

I prefer to tutor grades 4-8. I can tutor in most subjects up to grade 9, apart from Afrikaans, which I will only teach up to Grade 7. I've attended several study courses, including the Juno course. These courses have really helped me and I'd love to show my students how easy it can be to learn and memorize. With our academic oriented society, the self-esteem of students often takes a few hits. It's important to me as a teacher that my students understand that their mistakes are part of a learning process. I'm admittedly young, but I achieve excellent results as a straight A student, which I have been my whole school career, and I have experience dealing with different learning styles.
