I have a deep passion for the subject of History and all of the lessons to be learned from the past. I have experience tutoring in History and was awarded the 'Gold' prize for History in my Matric year. I have an understanding of what is expected of learners and in that way believe that I give my students an advantage on top of the passion for History that I try to pass on to them.

Geography is a subject that many students don't pursue because they don't manage to come to terms with the basic concepts and therefore feel overwhelmed. I aim to get an idea of where a student is at and work from there upward, ensuring that the foundation understanding is present. Thus ensuring that enjoyment for the subject can be present and the student can excel.

I am passionate about and highly skilled at a variety of writing techniques. I have written for school and university assignments, my own personal writing and am employed as a freelance writer. Thus, I believe that I have the ability to help others improve and develop their writing skills.

As someone that is passionate about History and the English language, I am also passionate about reading. I invest a lot of my time in reading as it not only allows me to learn new and interesting things every day but also to improve my vocabulary. I would hope that my students see reading in the same light.

English Literature is a fantastic part of the English language. I really enjoyed interacting with and dissecting the poems and books that we were given during school. I believe that I would be a great tutor for English Literature because of my passion for the topic and ability to guide my students through the content in a way that ensures maximum learning and enjoyment.

I believe that I am a great tutor with regards to grammar as it is something that I interact with daily due to my university work and freelance writing job. Grammar is a crucial foundation for anyone that wishes to succeed with the English language and I enjoy the constant battles that it throws our way.
