I am a highly motivated and ambitious student looking to work part time throughout the year in order to learn life, and people skills, as well as assist other students to the best of my ability. I am currently entering my third year studying a BA, majoring in English Literature and Psychology, at the University of Cape Town, and would like to share my knowledge and interest in the fields of English and French with students in need of help.

I’m a caring, trustworthy and patient individual who constantly strives to better my understanding of people and the world. I went to school at Kingsmead College in Johannesburg. I have completed a Bachelor of Humanities majoring in psychology and sociology at Stellenbosch University.

I believe I am a very good choice for this subject because I love reading and I love literature and I love telling stories, breaking it down to the most simplest and purest form making the pieces relatable, understandable, and you will be able to appreciate it’s true intricacies once you know its simplicities

As a professional educational writer and published children's book writer , who has read widely and developed critical reading skills, I have the experience and passion to help you learn and love English Literature. I have published six children's picture books, over ten readers, English textbooks, and written several play scripts. I have a BA degree in English, Drama and Psychology, BA (Hons) in Drama and an MA in Creative Writing. I have five years experience teaching English and thirteen years experience as a professional writer. In addition, I have taught children to read, and worked on remedial reading programmes for children. I am an avid reader and a lover of literature. To Kill A Mockingbird, Great Gatsby and Catcher in the Rye to name but a few are some of my favourite novels which are usually prescribed at high school and university level.

I am an avid reader and English literature was my favourite subject. I am one to always look for deeper meaning and create dialogue through analysing themes. I have a background in psychology and sociology, which adds depth of the discussion.

I have specialised in teaching English Literature at all levels to overseas 2nd additional language speakers as well as having studied English at University and in my teaching degree. I teach grade 10 English and am able to teach all grades English as well.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Literature & Linguistics. I am passionate about all things literature and I believe my knowledge can help shape and mould someone else’s. I am an avid reader with a keen interest in African literature. My love for books and the English language itself, makes me the best person for the job. My skills includes analyzing poems, short stories, novels, writing essays etc.

As I am studying education I know what teachers look for. That, combined with going through high school literature, I can help your child look for the correct answers and understand the literature on a deeper level.

Woe is us that we do not read so much anymore! when a picture is put before you there is no need to imagine. When you pick up a book your mind is requested to work and there lies the thrill of literature.
