English Literature tutors in Cape Town

I love reading and poetry and love the process of analysing different authors' works to decipher exactly what it is that the writer is trying to say. I received over 90% for English in high school and have always had a passion for the subject as a whole.

I am a qualified English Teacher and will take the time explain the content to you in a fun and simple way. From personal experience, I find English needs to be taken from a different approach. An approach that is FUN, VIBRANT and YOUTHFUL. When planning English lessons my lessons are creative and interesting, being a young female I know that I have the ability to create these lessons which capture the leaners attention but continually incorporate the core features of the curriculum that learners need to obtain

The English language courses through my veins. As over dramatic as that may sound it is true. I have a deep knowledge and passion for the English language. I have achieved excellent results and numerous accolades for my English in the academic world. I have more than enough capacity to teach the language effectively.

I have a very academic approach to the language but also a huge appreciation for it. I write for the UCT newspaper and I've read and studies classics such as "War & Peace", " Anna Karenina" and "Don Quixote". I'm also a patient teacher and will absolutely love to tutor anyone who wants to have a closer look at the language.

I have done English literature throughout my schooling career which included poetry, shakespear and nornal reading of books/novels in which you then analyse it and also discuss it or even just certain parts of it that stood out to you.

I am an avid reader and a collector of books, classic or otherwise. I have a great command of the English language, a great sense of understanding and I am always open to new and different interpretations of literary works! Reading is fun so it never feels like work. They say, ''do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life.'' Well, precisely.

I studied poetry, Shakespeare and many contemporary authors works. I have also been teaching the CAPS curriculum for the past year. I adore literature at a personal level. This is my favourite aspect of the English language.

I did English for my 1st Degree as a Major subject, that is, up to Third year level and I was good with almost all its different sections starting from Language, Literature, and Poetry. I know the subject very well from my Primary Education where I obtained a B+ symbol which was an inch closer to a Distinction. I have produced very good students who understood the subject better and more than they used to do, before.

I majored in English literature at first language level at University. I am well-equipped in the standards of the South African & other educational systems and I can help Students to meet their goals in this regard. I am passionate about English and its one function of facilitating as a literic vehicle / art medium.
