Afrikaans tutors in Cape Town

Both of my parents are Afrikaans teachers and speak Afrikaans to each other at home. I learnt the rules of the language from a young age and they are now engraved in my brain. My top subject in matric was Afrikaans. I love the language and believe that it is extremely beneficial to be able to speak and understand it in South Africa.

Not only is this my main subject in my B'ed course. This is my home language, school level i also did great and in my job teachers ask me to sit with learners tutoring them in this subject. Where my learners excelled. Statistically it shows that their marks increased since ive been working with these learners.

Have 24 years experience teaching this subject. This subject is very important and the basic principals need to be understood and consoladated. I enjoy using games to teach and consolidate new words and spelling rules.

I believe I am the best tutor for this subject because I am reliable, honest and trustworthy. I enjoy teaching other students so that they can have a better understanding of the subject or module. I believe the best way of learning is through teaching others and that's why I've joined this platform.

Afrikaans was my highest mark in matric, where I achieved 88%. I have been tutoring the subject to primary and high school students for three years. I will find a way to make you enjoy it - I promise!

I love Afrikaans as a language and it deserves to be learnt properly. Afrikaans is the youngest language in the world and has evolved to become the most expressive language I know. I have experience with teaching all grades in Afrikaans. This subject is all about knowing the rules and practicing vocabulary.

Afrikaans was the fourth language I learned and I first did not like it at all just because people would laugh at me for having a German accent that South Africans cannot place when speaking Afrikaans as so little Germans try to speak it. After a while I quickly realised that Afrikaans is quite similar to German and it grew on me and I find it very cute. I enjoy teaching it as a first additional language.

It is my mother tongue and I am fluent in this language. My deceased husband was a famous Afrikaans writer (George Weideman) and I can support my learners with literature, writing, reading, grammar, vocabulary and oral presentations. I pay attention to detail and will ensure that my learners achieve their goals. I make learning fun!

I am a native Afrikaans speaker. I did very well in Afrikaans language and literature classes in high school. I understand the more complex language used in Afrikaans literature and have the ability to explain it to someone who does not.

I enjoy Afrikaans extremely, as it is my home language. This naturally means that this is one of the easiest subjects for me to present lessons on. My mark obtained in grade 12 for Afrikaans was 75%
