I am a history major at Stellenbosch university. I received a distinction for the subject in high school. I believe I can effectively communicate the importance of learning history to students. It is for this reason I would love to tutor this subject.

Both of my parents are Afrikaans teachers and speak Afrikaans to each other at home. I learnt the rules of the language from a young age and they are now engraved in my brain. My top subject in matric was Afrikaans. I love the language and believe that it is extremely beneficial to be able to speak and understand it in South Africa.

I took Visual Art as an elective in High School and enjoyed the theory work very much. I enjoy visual analysis and believe I can make it fun for the students. Analyzing artwork is similar to solving a case. While you can have a natural gift for it, you can also learn how to analyze artworks in great depth.

I was too student in Matric in the subject Dramatic Arts. I’ve always seen myself as a performer but the theory work such as learning about different genres of Drama as well as play analysis, was my area of expertise. While I did well in my practical performances, I excelled at the Drama theory.

Thoroughly enjoy the subject and I am quite skilled in the area. Language is a fun area to learn as the rules are laid out for you. Learning the exceptions comes from engaging with the language and so one becomes familiar with the language itself.
