History was my absolute favourite subject in high school and also one of my best subjects. I did quite well in my matric finals with 77%. I'm very passionate about the subject and would love to share my knowledge and tips with struggling students.

Many learners think History is boring and unnecessary. I like to teach them that that is not the case; it can be very interesting and enlightening. Not only do we learn about things that happened in the past, but we use this knowledge to help us understand what is happening in the world around us now, and to prepare for the future.. I make History interesting and enjoyable so that learners want to learn it.

I enjoyed learning history throughout my schooling career, and chose it as a subject in Grade 10. I have developed a great understanding of essay writing and forming an argument. I believe I have a good grasp on the content, and achieved well in Grade 12 finals.

History is an interesting and diverce subject that can be endlessly studied in so many different ways. I have always enjoyed history and learning about where I came from and how life came to look the way we know it today. From an educational prospective mastering History as a subject requires one to learn how to study content and facts in a way that is successful for you and it requires you to dig deep and find a way to connect with what you are learning on a deeper more personal level thus giving you a greater passion to learn and helping you achieve a better grade. History (Social Studies) is also one of my chosen subjects for my degree in Intermediate Phase Education which I am currently busy with.

I am a history major at Stellenbosch university. I received a distinction for the subject in high school. I believe I can effectively communicate the importance of learning history to students. It is for this reason I would love to tutor this subject.

I absolutely loved History and love essay writing which most students struggle with in History. I received 96% in my final year of high school and therefore am very confident in helping with the framework to essay writing and application questions.

I’m the best tutor for this subject, as I’ve received numerous academic awards for achieving above 80% each term. I’ve never scored lower than an A and I’ve even received 100% on my report before. My essays during highschool was always being used in order to set the tone for everyone else, and other students would always come to me for help. Throughout my highschool career I’ve always been good with essays and contextual questions, to the point where educators would always refer to me before answering questions in class.

History can seem very dull to some, but if taught by the right person it can become extremely interesting and insightful. I always work hard to make my lessons fun and engaging, so you will remember what you've learned for a long time after the lesson has finished. The most important lesson I learned from my own history studies was how to analyse historical information in the context of who wrote it and for what reason, which in today's society with 'fake news', is a skill that should not be underestimated. I scored an A* in my GCSE history exam - the highest mark possible.
