History tutors in Western Cape

From my schooling years, I have always been task to assist those who lack to understand or rather catch up with lessons. In that I would assist my peers with extra tutoring in Biology and History. In 2014 I did a Occasional non-degree with the University of the Western Cape, Faculty of Education. I have more that 8 years experience working for the University of Cape, in departments and faculties as an administrator and coordinator respectively.

I am a hard working individual who always strives to achieve her best. I am reliable and dedicated in all aspects of life. I received 5 distinctions at the end of matric, captained both the tennis and squash teams and was Head of Sport at my high school. I know all about how important it is to motivate other people to achieve THEIR personal best and would be fully committed to ensure that others achieve their goals.

I have recently moved back to Cape Town after living in Johannesburg for 2 years. I am a fun, loving Primary School Mathematics teacher who concentrates on 21st century teaching practices.

I have always had a great interest in the history of mankind therefore I have been able to grow myself intellectually which allows me to deliver history lessons in a very interesting manner. If you think you are difficulties in this subject then I am here for you to make it easy.

I took history in high school and graduated with a distinction and I have been taking history at univeristy for 2 years now. I have a very high interest in history and am quite well read when it comes to historical events.

I achieved 91% for my final History matric mark and I am a lover of all things history. My skills acquired as a law student (essay writing, critical thinking & analysis, judging sources) will be beneficial to the subject of history as the skills are transferable.

History was one of my favorite subjects in school, it’s interesting and quite intriguing. My final mark for matric was 99% and I came 5th in the Province. I can help explain how to answer questions especially the essays and also just help explain the context and content of the work.

My favourite subject in High School! The past paves the way for the future. This concept excited me. I would be the best tutor for this subject because of my passion and joy for it. Further I have learned study techniques that would assist you in acing the exams!

I taught History for 14 years, in an IEB school, from Grade 9 to 12. My pass rate was 100% and my average for the last 5 years was in the 70s. But more importantly, my students LOVED the subject because it taught them valuable general knowledge and an understanding of current events, as well as values and attitudes that equipped them to make informed life choices.

As an education student, a lot of emphasis is placed on how to teach history as it is a tricky subject to learn. There are a lot of different skills needed to be able to remember all the information and I believe I can help the learner come up with creative and fun ways to learn history and retain the information.
