I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.

As a prolific bibliophile and practicing attorney, I have a very good command of the English language. I have an extensive interest in a variety of fields, including law, health, various hobbies, non-fiction, biographical works, and much more, and would be willing to engage with all ages to increase their English knowledge.

As a school teacher I have experience in teaching others how to read the English language and I love to see the excitement on ones face as they achieve their reading goals. My degree in English makes room for me to teach you how to read too.

As a voracious reader myself, I am very keen to get my students to read more and to extend their vocabulary and grammar. I help my students read with greater fluency and to emphasise key concepts and phrases in a text. I enable my students to re-read text and teach them how to summarize to gain a better understanding of what they have read. I teach students how to process and internalize what they have read.

I enjoy reading and I try to always to be busy with at least one book at any given time. I wasn't the best reader during my school days but after school I really started to enjoy it and through perseverance I can now say I am a fluent English reader.

Reading is a personal hobby of mine therefore I will not be lasting passion. Furthermore as an English major I believe that I can enable children to develop the building blocks of education - comprehensive reading abilities.

Reading allows us to understand as readers. Individuals that read well lead to gaging all elements of the English language well. Reading is important and should be focused on. Reading is a skill that will be taught by me to create further success in English for learners.

From my tutoring experience I have assisted learners with special needs or who have difficulties in reading to improve on their reading skills and have yielded great results in each term from each learner I have tutored and I have made reading fun for them so that they can enjoy it.

As a literature coach, my work was mostly focused on the improvement of reading skills and reading comprehension. I had to help the kids move up levels, assess where their reading level was and then work with them to improve their level.

I enjoy reading. I have a neutral English accent and I’m good with the pronunciation and spelling of most words. I enjoy hearing other people read and helping them when necessary. I used to get full marks for reading in high school. 😁
