I did a TEFL course which has helped me to master this skill and understand the best ways to go about it when teaching someone else. I believe I have gathered enough skills to use what I have learned and apply it with anyone wanting to learn how to read, write and speak English.

I have a degree in English Language. Been an English educator for over 15 years in intermediate,senior and foundation phase .Reading and understanding affect all other learning areas. I address all aspects of language ,oral,phonics,listening and speaking ,writing .

As an avid reader myself. I read close to three hundred books a year. That's a book almost everyday. My peers even labelled me a bookworm. I want to give others the pleasure and knowladge that comes from reading.

Well I am patient and In my first year of actual teaching practice I've learnt that you need to understand the child as a whole first . I have taught a child to read from the age of 5 he was born here but his mother is from bangladesh and seeing his face light up when he reads and understands brings absolute joy .

I am a lover of novels hence my interest in reading. I believe that for effective communication, one must be able to read and write as well as they speak. Most knowledge is written hence to make the most of it one must be able to read. So I think being able to help one to be able to read will be a great achievement.
