Science is journey of not only acquiring knowledge but also crucial. I am willing to embark on this journey with every student that cross my path. No task will be to great for me to start. I will not only start this task but finish it to the best of my abilities

Physical Sciences are about understanding and exploring. I love to introduce my students to this "magical" world that exists all around us. I have a Bachelor's degree in Science and am currently completing my PGCE to become a Physical Science teacher. I have vast knowledge of this subject through high school and university experience.

Physical science was a subject that was hard for a lot of my peers simply because you are taught the content in class but you are not taught easy ways to understand and apply concepts in exams. It took me half of high school to master an effective way of achieving good marks because I only figured out easy fun ways to study and pass well later on. I want to give other students these effective methods so that they don’t have to struggle to understand this subject because it can be tricky. I am a biomedical science student at the University of Witwatersrand and I have been tutoring grade 8 to grade 10 physical science so far for 3 years.

I have taught Physics for many years covering the CAPS, IEB and Cambridge IGCSE and AS level curricula It’s my favorite subject to teach. Again , I work through many past papers with my students to ensure they have been exposed to every kind of question.

I received an A for the subject at the end of matric, have done it at university level and have helped my friends with it when they needed help in high school. There is also a lot of mathematics involved and, as I have said, I have a talent for mathematics.

For as long as I can remember, the world of science has fascinated me. It is for that reason that I pursued science-based degree programs (initially Engineering, currently Medicine) at university. In high school, I would often compete in Science Olympiads which I consistently performed well in (Top 100 in the Physical Sciences Olympiad (2015); 1st Place in Mpumalanga Mintek Quiz (2015)). I also achieved a final result of 93% for Physical Science at the end of matric. However, despite my passion for science, I understand that it can be a polarising subject and that some students require a little more time to come to grips with some of the concepts covered in the curriculum. I also think that these students have the most to gain from a tutor who is passionate, but patient, about this subject. I believe in the importance of understanding, and not just memorising, the concepts covered in the Science curriculum, and I would be delighted to have the opportunity to facilitate that learning.

I got 95% in my matric final, scoring in the top 1% in the country. I enjoy the subject, I love knowing how the world works. I have a good understanding of the course work and I believe that I can at least teach it, if not grow the same love for science in my student.

Science is a subject that unfortunately can come across as inaccessible or overwhelming. However, once concepts click into place, it is a fascinating and even fun subject! I received a distinction for Physical Sciences (both Physics and Chemistry) and studied a Bachelor of Science at Wits where I did Physics and Chemistry at a university level. I love Science and want to teach this subject and help someone else love it as much as I do and realise how much fun it can be. Let me help you :)

I have over 5 years of Physical Science tutoring experience. Science, like maths, is a unique subject in that its governing concepts revolve around the nature of life as we know it. Learning about that, and imparting that knowledge onto others while discussing the way the world works within it, is something I am eager to do.

I am the best tutor for this subject as I have already completed my BSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology as well as Cosmetic Formulation Science. I am also currently a student still studying a BSc Honours in Biochemistry. I make science fun and exciting.
