I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and I was exposed to Physics up until varsity level. I have also tutored high and varsity learners, so I believe I can add value to student's academics. I am very passionate about science and logical thinking and I believe every student should be given the opportunity to excel in their academics. I also understand that there are students who are not scientifically gifted and might want to just pass the subject. During my tutoring sessions, I make sure that I test the learners as much as I can because they learn while being tested. I also believe in practical and real life problem solving skills.

My degree is in the field of Mathematics and Life Sciences however, whilst studying at university my course for Life Science also included physical sciences. I am able to teach both Life Science as well as Physical Science.

I am confident and very skilled in this subject. I studied physical sciences in high school, and specialized in it in university, so I am qualified to teach most of the topics involved in physical sciences. The knowledge I possess accommodates primary and high school scholars.

I am a Civil Engineer (BScEng), and my entire degree is based heavily on Physical Sciences, advanced mathematics, applied mathematics, advanced calculus and application of this knowledge in engineering. During my years of study I have mastered the craft of mathematics, so much so that it has become second nature to me. I have previously tutored many students, many of who's marks have improved by more than 25% during the course of the year. My current studies towards my Masters degree (MScEng) implies that I am capable of thinking and working at a much higher level to the average student/tutor.

Physical Sciences was something that interested me in high school. I matriculated with 83% in this subject. As someone who is able to conceptualise and think creatively, I believe I can help the student in areas that they are struggling.

Being an engineer by profession I relate to physical sciences naturally, I deal with real problems on a daily basis that require an indepth understanding of physical concepts and their mathematical models. I can clearly anticulate any physical concept such that even a primary school learner will be able to understand.

Engineering builds on science and goes more in depth and this has allowed me to cover the physical science syllabus more extensively at university level thus giving me the additional tools required for tutoring excellence, I have tutored many matric students with students going from a 50% up to an 80%

Physical sciences has always been one of my favorite subjects to do and teach. It is all about the capability to solve problems and sometimes to think outside the box. I got a level 6 in physical sciences.

Physics is always seen as a difficult subject. I would like to change that stigma and prove that anyone, as long as they have passion and dedication, can definitely succeed at it. i believe i bring fun to the subject, by bringing the subject alive.

Physical Sciences as a subject which includes Newton's Laws, equations of motion, organic chemistry, titrations etc - basically 'school' physical sciences) I love teaching maths and physics!!! I have been teaching maths and physics at my current job for over three years and have seen students grow in confidence as they realise that they're not stupid-they just think differently to their teachers or textbooks and need to remember a few key concepts and skills. I'm skilled at recognising how the learner thinks and adjusting explanations and pace accordingly. I know that learners learn by practicing so I involve them as I teach, giving them a sense of accomplishment from the start. Once I see the learner is comfortable I follow through with practice questions for them to work through with me. I know that CAPS curriculum and various sections of work well enough to guide learners through the great workload and help them focus on what is most important. I am a firm believer in the fact that learning shouldn't be an overwhelming experience and it can be fun, interesting and positively mind-blowing. I achieve this by pacing the content according to the learners capacity (as mentioned above) and also by challenging the learner enough to buff their newly learned skills into shiny confidence in one area at a time.
