My name is Rixongile Chauke and I am 20 years old. My favourite thing to do in my free time is to play guitar and sing. I also love children and love doing community service in my vacation. My favourite subjects in school were maths, physical science, English and biology. I am a university student studying biomedical sciences and I have been tutoring maths and physical sciences for high school students from grade 8 to grade 10 for 3 years. I am able to tutor younger grades like grade 1-7 and grade 8-10 for high school.

I am still currently studying The Bachelor of Health Sciences in the field of Biomedical Sciences is offered over three years of full-time study. In the first two years, students will cover the fundamental topics in biomedical science: Cell Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology. Honours degrees are available for many of the major subjects completed within the Bachelor of Health Sciences degree including Forensic Sciences, Human Genetics, Human Biology, Medical Cell Biology and Physiology, Anatomical Pathology, Chemical Pathology, Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.

Physical Science
Physical science was a subject that was hard for a lot of my peers simply because you are taught the content in class but you are not taught easy ways to understand and apply concepts in exams. It took me half of high school to master an effective way of achieving good marks because I only figured out easy fun ways to study and pass well later on. I want to give other students these effective methods so that they don’t have to struggle to understand this subject because it can be tricky. I am a biomedical science student at the University of Witwatersrand and I have been tutoring grade 8 to grade 10 physical science so far for 3 years.

This subject was one of my favourite! I learnt many ways during school to best memorise English language rules and I was great at essay writing and speech writing. I was often asked to read my essay to the class and once asked to say my English speech in front of the whole school. I enjoyed learning this subject and enjoy teaching this subject because once you get the hang of the rules and the best ways of studying you can easily become an A student. I tutored a grade 9 in English home language and grade 11s in English and they saw great improvements in their results last year.
