Because my biggest/best strength is problem solving, okay it close to my ability to plan out stuff. I was and still am good at mathematics. I can really help people look at this from a different perspective and how to approach a problem. I am a good listener and focus more on the "why" we are doing this and "what" needs to happen or follow, rather than the "what" then "why" we are doing this. I say mathematics, because I can do mathematics, whether pure maths or math literacy... Maths is maths... It just boils down to the topic/branch we are dealing with.

I am maths graduate and have gained the tools for mathematical analysis and best course/s of action in the application of mathematics fundamentals while working in a research facility. I am able to confer strategies for challenging or abstract ideas and concepts.

I believe I am well suited to be a maths tutor as I have enamoured with mathematics and it's intracacies from a young age! Moreover, I have completed (and achieved distinctions in) mathematics up to a second year undergraduate level.

I find fun and easy ways to make you understand. Math isn't the enemy. Its all about practice. Mathematics is one of my favorite subjects and I find it interesting to teach and it satisfies me when I am able to pass that knowledge to my students.

I have a degree in mechatronics engineering from UCT, so I have been exposed to and understand university level mathematics. I got 99% for maths in matric. I have volunteered my tutoring services before so I am not new to tutoring. I know the curriculum.

I have great knowledge if the curriculum and the methods used to teach the curriculum. I have experience teaching the subject and always work through all the methods with the learner to ensure that the learner understands and finds the method easiest to suit him/her. I always try to make the Math more interesting as many learners can find it boring at times therefore losing interest.

I have done two Mathematics modules while studying which are "Mathematics teaching (intermediate and senior phase)" and "numbers and operations in intermediate and senior phase". I believe that mathematics is compiled by various puzzles which are waiting to be solved. I have a good knowledge of Mathematics and I also have it as a subject at University. I can help a primary school learner understand the very basics of Maths so that they have a solid foundation to build upon. I can help High School learners further their knowledge, and help them understand the concepts and how to apply them on their own.

I am currently studying a degree where mathematical and statistical skills are essential. I feel I have developed the skills needed to teach others the fundamental principals of how mathematics truly works. I also feel I make the subject enjoyable in the way I teach the person the subject.
