I am a mother of two, who up until recently was a full time mother. I studied four years of Electronic Engineering prior to starting a family and relocating, with only a final design outstanding. I am now in my third year of studying towards my BEd. I love mathematics but physics earns a close second place. I am comfortable with tutoring Maths Grade 8 to 12 and Physics Grade 8 to 10. My hobbies include rollerblading, swimming, having fun with my children and socialising with friends. I have lived in various parts of the world including Australia, Canada and Scotland. I love travelling, learning about different cultures and meeting new people.

My first session with a new student is often a "get to know them and understand their attitude towards working" session. I take a realistic approach to tutoring by not drowning my students in homework, over and above the school work they may already have but rather making the most of the session, working at a pace that they are comfortable with, but still keeping to schedule and adjusting it where need be. My sessions are purely interactive, making them productive and keeping the interest of the student. In the time I spent tutoring my previous students, I constantly worked through dozens of Mathematics and Accounting past examinations, ensuring that I was (and still am) always well aware of what is expected from examiners in all sections throughout the syllabus. I enjoy reading a variety of books and random articles online. I also love baking and always find myself trying a new a challenging recipe. I recently started sewing and I am enjoying that a lot. I have done quite a range of crafts including origami. I also love playing computer games and coding. Sometimes I go out of my room to be social and that can be quite enjoyable too. Over weekends and holidays I like to go hike and I sometimes dip my finger into photography too. I am currently a second year Mechatronic Engineering student at Stellenbosch University. I believe that you should do something every day to help someone around you.

I studied Bcom Economics and Econometrics (2012) and hold an honours Degree in Economics specialising in Economic Trade and Development (2014) and I am also a prospective MCOM Economic Development student from this year (2018). A diligent individual, I am able to initiate work independently, additionally embrace teamwork as more ideas can be generated.
