I have an extensive knowledge of English Literature as well as the guiding theories behind it. I have taught most of the set works, and I am able to deliver content to learners. Language and literature.

I am great at helping students understand complex or foreign concepts in terms of their life and experience. I enjoy talking about stories and analysing what these stories mean with a greater context. For example considering what makes Shakespeare still relevant to people today. I have a lot of experience in summarising plots and other literary analysis features which I will be happy to teach you.

I love literature. I love reading and I love writing. In particular I love seeing how authors weave their words into something that you can only see if you're looking for it. I love the way people can take words and create entire worlds out of them, and how these worlds can be so engaging that people get lost in them for days. I love literature and I'm hoping that I will be able to get you to love it too.

I have read comprehensively and am very well versed in explaining concepts and interpretations in a clear manner . I believe that I understand literature, some of which does go back to my own formal education, but largely also due to simply having an interest in the subject. I have fairly large collection of books of my own, covering all manner of genres

I have participated in multiple English Olympiads, achieving either Silver or Gold levels. I also achieved high marks in my matric results for the subject and have completed an Arts and Humanities course at university.

I have taught English online and I have obtained a TEFL certificate that allows me to teach English internationally. I am a native English speaker. I also studied English in varsity and I got exceptionally good results.

I have a huge passion for English literature, and enjoy reading classic novels, poetry and plays. I write my own poetry and use a lot of techniques I learnt in school in my poems. English literature was always my favourite aspect of English, and I even took Advanced Program (AP) English in grade 11.

I am passionate about English language and literature- so much that I pursued a postgraduate degree in English Literature. I also worked as a first-year tutor at Wits for a year, teaching literature and helping students with their writing and comprehension skills.
