I am a final year education student, I love sports, I have been doing my practical for my final year in two schools in Pretoria, South Africa. I have experience with kids from age 7 to age 13. I have taught social science, life orientation, English and some Afrikaans. I got my 120 hour TEFL Advanced certificate. I am very patient and I love to help students to achieve their goals, I am flexible and I will support the student. My teaching method is based on the type of learner I deal with, I will spend the first session to get to know the learner and to find out how they like to learn. I feel that it is important to have a good relationship with each other, especially for the student to trust me and feel comfortable with me. i want my students to enjoy their lessons and to set goals for themselves to achieve in my lesson.

University of Johannesburg alumni, completed Honours in Geography. I Majored with GIS and Remote Sensing. Have experience working with students as I assisted them with their assignments and projects. I am currently working on becoming a Geography teacher, I also teach learners Grade 8 to 12.

I completed my matric in 2013. I then went to study Biochemistry and Botany and the University of Johannesburg from 2014 to 2017,and I graduated in 2018. During my study period at UJ I worked as a Chemistry tutor at "Teach me2"and a Mathematics Tutor at "English today". In 2018 I went to do my honours in Environmental sciences at Nelson Mandela University and graduated in April 2019. At NMU I worked as an environmental science tutor and practical demonstrator for first year student. I am passionate about teaching others and help them understand science easier and better, I helped a lot of students struggling with mathematics and science subjects and, and that's what I am here for.

I am a friendly, energetic and fun 20-year-old. I am a hard worker and I learn extremely fast. I am also very diligent, determined and can do anything I set my mind to. I am often described as a perfectionist and I do nothing half-heartedly. I am very patient and strive to make learning fun and effective. I can explain difficult concepts till I am blue in the face. Hi , my name is Betsie (short for Elizabeth - so some students call me Miss Elizabeth). After working as an accountant and financial manager for more than 20 years I took a sabbatical to look after my niece and discovered that I loved working with children! I joined Gutsy Tutoring (now Turtlejar) as a tutor in 2017 and have tutored children and adults in a wide variety of subjects. I believe that people have different learning styles and preferences and try to take this into account when working with students. It is a great privilege to assist others on their learning journey and it would be my pleasure to join you or your child.
